Our band wants to do Africa, and I checked out CraZivn's great download but this one varies in a few ways: The "marimba" part can be played easily with one hand, with parallel fourths That marimba is now on the right hand. Sustain the last chord with the pedal, then do the lick with your right hand The "horn" patch is less "synth" sounding - it's based on the original Africa Stage Setting Zone 1: Horn (slider 1 volume, slider 4 cutoff frequency) Zone 2: Marimba (slider 2 volume, slider 5 delay) Zone 3, 4: Flute for solo (slider 3 volume) Slider 6 is Reverb, and Knobs are all default Gains
  2. Modern Worship View File I haven't used my PX-5S for worship but I got a gig that required it. All the tunes were pretty much just ethereal pads and some piano. So I used Maximillion as a start, as it's a pretty full and thick Hexlayer, removed layers 5 and 6, and added a zone 2 with a Grand Piano. Two sliders govern the volume of zone 1 (hexlayer) and zone 2 (piano). The first four sliders control the volumes of the 4 layers in the hexlayer. Knob 3 is high gain, knob 4 is reverb. I like this setting because I can do JUST pads or JUST piano, fading in the entire hex layer or controlling individual aspects via the sliders. Have fun! -Tom Submitter Tom Georges Submitted 08/08/2020 Category Acoustic Pianos and Piano Layers

  4. Forgot this one. This is for Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" Upper portion synth is for the intro and outro (with a long release), with similar sound in lower octave. In the middle starting with E2 I think is a higher synth tone for the interlude that I played with my left hand while plaing the intro portion with my right. I should make a video and post it but I wanted to at least post the SS RTSEPWAY.ZPF

Ok - giving back (hopefully!) to this very helpful community! These Stage Settings are ones I created for when I filled in for the regular keyboard guy in an 80s rock band. They are for the tunes: RTDOUBLE - Foreigner's Double Vision RTFORGET - Don't You Forget About Me RTHUNGRY - Hungry Like the Wolf (not sure if the arpeggiator gets saved with Stage Settings - let me know) RTJANE - Jefferson Starship's Jane RTLIVINON - Bon Jovi's Livin' On a Prayer RTLOCKED - Bruno Mars Locked Out Of Heaven (I know - not an 80s tune, but including it anyhow) RTRULEWO - Everybody Wants To Rule The World RTYELL - Billy Idol's Rebel Yell

  7. Looking again at the manual, this information is indeed there - I just didn't notice it. When I searched, I searched for "T1" and "T2" but that doesn't actually appear anywhere - it's "Target 1" and "Target 2" as you said (on top of page E-8 in the "User's Guide (Tutorial)" manual.
  8. Ah - interesting! Thanks so much, Brad! I didn't even consider that possibility. Lots of power under the hood of this beast!
  9. Hi - I recently acquired a PX-5S and was curious about the meaning of "T1" and "T2" that I see when editing certain parameters. An example is when assigning a Target to a controller like a slider when doing an edit of a Stage setting. I see that you can have separate targets for T1 and T2 - but what in the world is that? I've searched this forum and also the manuals but can't find anything about these. Here are a couple of photos of the display showing the same parameter but with T1 and then T2 selected (by going left or right with the zone select buttons)
  10. Ah - i see now it was set at 000. I need to crank it to -127. It still doesn't seem immediate though. But that would be the parameter. Thanks! 😎
  11. Hello! I just got a PX-5s and am looking to set up some sounds, among them a synth saw that has a pitch LFO that begins immediately. I've got a stage setting I've created that has a zone with this sound, but I can't seem to set the LFO to begin as soon as the keys are pressed - there's a delay. How I get the LFO to begin right when I hit the keys? I have other questions that I will ask in separate threads (I don't like multiple topics-per-thread - makes things too confusing when looking for answers!) -Tom
