  1. Can you clarify your question? You can change stage settings by using one of two methods, bank/program change, or NRPN. Press system settings>midi>stage set change>...you'll see it there.
  2. I have a feeling someone was pressing the modulation button in the video mentioned. That's how vibrato is added.
  3. Please attach the videos you are referring to. Also, can you attach a short audio clip of your CT-X9000 demonstrating the issue you are describing? I have a feeling this is simply a misunderstanding. If we can see and hear everything you are asking about, it would help us answer.
  4. As far as I know, the second pedal input on the CT-X3000/5000 can't control DSP. Pedal 2 effect menu options are expression, sustain, sostenuto, soft, or rhythm/song start stop. Some other Casio models can control effects from an expression pedal.
  5. When you're done editing, press write. Replace? will appear on the screen. Press yes.
  6. Teaching software usually has a feature that stops and waits for you to catch up. It sounds like you're describing that.
  7. Yes, turning off the DSP light turns off the effects. For the mixer parts on drums, I'm not sure if they will save as a registration on that model, but it's worth a try. Yes, you have 32 locations arranged in banks to save registrations, hold the store button while pressing one of the registration buttons to save a setup. Check your user manual on saving data to SD card. That will allow you to save each registration bank as backup.
  8. Welcome to the forums! Let's get to right to it..... Preset Tones - All tones that are preprogrammed from the factory. User tones are not preset tones. GM Tones - General MIDI tones. Tones that adhere to the GM specification for use with MIDI files or other MIDI devices. Synth Pad Tones 1 - Pad category of synthesizer tones. Soft warm tones often used as an underlying layer of sound, padding the sound. DSP - Digital Signal Processing. DSP creates effects like delays, distortion, EQ and more. DSP is an effect that is preset for certain tones or can be used when creating your own user tones. You can turn off the drum tracks using the mixer. The WK-3000 manual will have instructions on using the mixer to turn off the drum parts. Hope this helps.
  9. Use the data editor or USB flash drive to transfer files.
  10. USB is for MIDI only on the PX-5S. You'll need to connect an audio cable as well. Your computer probably already has a built in audio interface (a stereo mic/line mini jack). You can use the appropriate audio cable to connect the PX-5S line or headphone outputs to that if so. You might be totally happy with that, with no need to purchase another audio interface. Note that connecting audio cables and USB between a device and computer can cause USB ground loop noise. It varies by computer so it's worth trying.
  11. So does the MZX. The MZX Sample Manager not only loads WAV files, it can load AIFF as well.
  12. Instructions for iPad is here, and also found within the Chordana app itself by tapping the "?" icon in the corner of the screen.

  14. I don't know. It should.
  15. No, it's a hidden system setting. It's automatically turned on at power up. This was changed due to the issue several owners had with drum tracks on channel 10 in MIDI files playing piano sounds instead.
  16. Casio released a firmware update for the PX-560, version 1.15, that changed the GM system from OFF to ON by default.
  17. As you're recording a song using the system track, tempo changes will be recorded as well. Using the tempo buttons while recording will record tempo changes. This is really the only way using the keyboard itself.
  18. On the far right of the keyboard control panel, just above the keys, there is a bank of 12 buttons arranged in 2 rows of 6. The top row of 6 buttons are smaller than the bottom 6 buttons. That top row has the tempo buttons, they're the second and third buttons counting from the left.
  19. Are you recording MIDI straight into your DAW live? My initial suspicion is audio latency while recording. That could make you play a little off the beat because you would be hearing playback of existing tracks that are a little delayed.
  20. Yes, the CT-X5000 has tempo buttons. You can use those to adjust playback speed.
  21. MIDI recorder songs can be converted to Standard MIDI Files (SMF) using a USB flash drive. Connect a flash drive to the keyboard flash drive port. Press the function button>media>save>MltR SMF. This will convert 16 solo tracks to SMF, or will convert the system track to SMF. If a song contains both system track and solo tracks, only the solo tracks will convert, since a MIDI file only has space for 16 tracks. For details on saving data, see page EN-119 of the CTX3000/5000 user manual. Hope this helps.
