  1. I've a feeling I'm going to be bitterly disappointed but I must ask... I want to create a bank of .wav files, particularly in percussion, for use in Reaper (DAW). Is it possible to bulk export a range of sounds (and/or MIDI) from the CT-X via DAW to save me playing each one individually, messing around with levels then saving them as a .wav file on my PC (which would take forever!)?
  2. Does this not give the same result as turning the speakers off? I'm using Reaper too and this is how I did it. Fine for MIDI but when I want to record audio in Reaper, the volume knob has a bearing on input levels I found.
  3. Thanks Brad. I should have been more specific; I think I need Mono/TS Instrument Cables (Tip-Sleeve) but should they be balanced or unbalanced?
  4. I've managed to set up my CT-X5000 to work with Reaper and USB MIDI output from the rear of the keyboard. Pretty much plug n' play. What I'd like to do though is be able to record the 5000's audio in Reaper. As I understand it, I'll need a hardware audio interface such as Scarlett 2i2 (coz stereo, right?) or the Audient iD4? What I can't wrap my head around yet is what cables I'll need (for, I assume, the two line out connections at the rear)? Can anyone help?
  5. Has anyone found tones on their CTX which made them think "Ah, that sounds like the keyboard used in [insert] song"? So far I've picked up that 355 VASynth1, to me, kinda resembles the Oberheim OB-8 used in Van Halen's 'Jump'. Any others? Any Casio VL-1 soundalikes? 😎
  6. Thanks for the welcome, Brad. That makes sense but how does one load a registration after start up? Do you simply hit a registration button? I thought they were for storing various Tones for quick access? They weren't kidding when reviewers said the manual and menus were confusing!
  7. Hi all, Quick burning question: Is there a way to assign user profiles to the CTX series keyboards? I've just bought a CT-X5000 and my daughter's gone nuts for it! I don't mind her using it of course but don't want any of my settings messed up - so is there a way of assigning user profiles to the device or has Casio made a huge oversight?
