  1. CASIO at The NAMM Show 2024 | After Movie (youtube.com) I know it's in then past, but did you visit (Casio at) the NAMM show this year or earlier years? What is it like? I would like to go sometime, but alas, it is in the US of A... πŸ˜‰ Jay 🎹
  2. Ok, thanks. Question: what kind of shop or dealership would be able to repair it? an electronics store or a music store?
  3. Hi There is a loose connection in the β€˜USB To Host’ connector on my otherwise lovely CT-S1 keyboard, so the computer will not recognize my keyboard or not detect that I have connected it to the computer. This is a problem in my DAW as I can't send MIDI data to and from the keyboard. I've tried squeezing the contacts in the connector and that also helped a bit / for a short time. But the problem continues to occur. Can I replace the connector myself - is that advisable? or should it be done by an authorized workshop - is there such a service in Europe? Thank You Jay 🎹
  4. Hi. I want to ask those of you who have owned a ct-s1000v keyboard for some time, whether you are happy with it and particular with the vocal synthesis feature? And do you use the vocal synthesis feature to write songs, or try out different lyrics you write with different melodies and harmonies (chords) that you play on the keyboard? Do you think the quality of the voices and pronunciations of your lyrics are adequate or more than adequate to be used in music productions, for instance, in songs with your own voice? What do you use the vocal synthesis feature for? Thank you, Jay 🎹
  5. Hello OK, I usually don't post new music pieces with such a short time interval between them, but I hope it works out Here is Johann Pachelbel's Canon or just Canon in D. Instrumentation: Chords - Casio MT-400V Cosmic Tone with waw filter effect "Bass" - Casio CT-370 Elec Piano Drums - Casio CT-370 Multi-Split Percussion Melody - Casio CT-370 Vibraphone It is not perfect, but for a quick one-shot recording (more or less) I think it is ok πŸ˜„ I just added some reverb to the audio - that's all. UPDATE July 2: I also made another version of this melody simply because I like it so much. The keyboard used in this version is solely Casio MT-400V, with some reverb and some drums in my DAW. I would like to hear your opinion on the two pieces. Which do like better? Jay 🎹
  6. Drums, Bass, Chords and Melody - four parts in a little quartet. 😊 Bass is Casio ct-370 Chords are Casio ct-370 Melody is Casio mt400v Jay 🎹
  7. Nice video! Question: Did you record the music as audio first into your DAW and then recorded video of you playing the keyboard afterwards?

  9. Hi Just a quick recording on my PX-5S. It's a cover version of ForΓ₯rsdag by danish singer and musician Anne Linnet. "ForΓ₯rsdag" translates to: spring day. Enjoy! Jay 🎹
  10. Hello Unfortunately, I do not own the said keyboard model that you enquire to. However, I if you have one yourself, here is a video on how to transpose an audio event in the Presonus DAW Studio One: Studio One: How to Transpose Audio Events in Studio One - OBEDIA.com (youtube.com) Hope this helps Jay 🎹
  11. ...add to that the good ole Casio XW-G1 and SK-1 keyboards. They are maybe harder to find, but it can be done

A modified version of the built-in tone BriteStrings, that is filtered and thus has a softer timbre to it. The tone BRITESTR.ZTN was saved in slot 70 under the Strings/Brass tone-group. The stage setting MY_STRIN.ZPF also includes a GrandPianoConcert Tone on Zone 2 (Zone 1 is disabled) to play along with the strings in the phrase STRINGSC.ZPH that I have uploaded here. Jay 🎹

  22. Hi @Chas Thank you for this video. I enjoyed watching it in its entirety Jay 🎹
  23. Thank You, @giano and @XW-Addict ! I just mastered this track. Hopefully, the individual parts will stand out clearer now.
  24. In this track I am using only one Casio instrument, the MT400V in concert with a plethora of plugin-instruments in my DAW. You'll hear the MT400V playing chords in the background after the introductory notes from seconds 24. I use the "Cosmic Tone" with customized filter settings, sustain and the built-in stereo chorus effect. Jay 🎹
