  1. MidiPipe is the perfect solution! Many thanks to all of you! Richard
  2. Yes, you are right Joe, the elegant solution is using Logic Pro X and thank you for mentioning the trial offer, didn’t know that. But overall and beside the extra cost, I am already more then satisfied with GB. I don’t want to get into even more complex fonctions with the trouble of importing my songs. I say that because I have found a very good solution to my problem. It’s called MidiPipe an excellent little software that treats midi messages like butter. I only had to filter out cc#007 main volume and voilà. Its a free software but one should donate and I will certainly do. so, this is the end of the story, I am so much more relaxed now with my behaved volumes. Btw, MidiMonitor is only a monitor, it filters messages but only for the sake of monitoring. Big thanks to all of you, hope this might help other people with similar problems. Back to my keyboard now! Richard
  3. Alright Brad, thank you for your help I’m quite exited with the multimbral possibilities! Richard
  4. Brad, can you confirm that Logic Pro X would be the right software for such a job? i’d go for it then! Richard
  5. Thank you IanB, I’ll check midi monitor, could be the best solution. Greatly appreciated! Richard
  6. If I use Logic Pro X will I be able, for example, to create 16 tracks each their own midi channel simultaneously playing 16 different sounds of the px-s3000? Richard
  7. It’s also well known that GB doesn’t filter midi messages. So, there’s this problem using the px-s3000 with GB. Of course Logic Pro X would do the job but that would be 300$ Canadian for a midi filter! By the way, I’ve read some discussion concerning the multitimbral capability of the PX-S 3000. Is it or not? can one trigger different sounds with their own midi channel. Then, upgrading to Logic Pro X would be reasonable. Richard
  8. Yes, the Casio has its analog track in GB in order to play or record it. And I also use the Casio to trigger the other instruments in GB. Basically, I play the Casio live through GB along with the other tracks already recorded. Then, whenever I select a new registration on the Casio, the active tracks volume, (there is always an activated track in GB), gets messed up. Whatever the Casio is sending in my case it’s only that cc volume that’s giving me trouble. Richard
  9. Thanks Brad for such a fast reply! So, every time I select a new registration on the Casio, it sends a cc volume on the active track in GarageBand. It’s really annoying having to readjust those volumes manually every time. Richard
  10. Hello everyone! I’m on GarageBand with my ps-x 3000 and I’m really tire of having the Casio send midi cc to my GB track volumes every time I switch patches on the Casio. What’s the trick to only send midi notes to GB. thanks for your help! Richard
  11. If not too late, I have a similar situation. I want to upgrade to Logic Pro x in order to use the pxs3000 as a multitimbral sound engine (many sounds simultaneously). I think the demo songs are built that way. Is that possible, I haven’t seen any menus showing such procedure? thanks! Richard
