  1. Nice that the CDP-S100 performed so great. If they had done the PX-S1000 or PX-S3000 we would have dominated this test.
  2. Having done yet another recording with the PX-S series this week, I can assure you that there is no issue with the output level. As mentioned previously the level is identical - to the output of the PX-560 and PX-5S which are used by touring musicians worldwide. Some of those same musicians are now also using the PX-S3000 without issue. The level is set specifically to provide headroom for the number of simultaneous sounds the PX-S can create at once. In the case of the PX-S3000 that includes all sounds played live from the keyboard, accompaniment, MIDI File playback, Audio File playback and from USB MIDI.
  3. To be The adjustment is simply a "comfort" adjustment adjusting the "curve" of the way the pedal responds. The range is -2 to +2. At +2 the pedal needs to be depressed further before the virtual dampers are lifted. At -2 the pedal requires just a slight touch before it lifts the dampers.
  4. Headhunter, I'm not sure how many ways we can say YES. The PX-S3000 can transmit CC#1 from a knob and CC#11 from an expression pedal. These can be used in your software and mapped based on your softwares capabilities.
  5. Anders, I'm not sure what your question is. The AP-700 does in fact do half pedaling and as you've found it has additional control over the pedal position trigger points which you can adjust for your comfort. The AP-700 along with the Grand Hybrid (GP-300, 400, 500) are also the only ones that offer 3 premier European grand piano sounds. Yes there have been recent advancements in our Privia line-up which offer an optional 3-pedal option and also supports half pedaling. This control is similar to what you have on your AP-700 but only has the Hamburg piano sound.
  6. The pitchbend wheel is the source of your problem. It is somehow broken in the up position.
  7. João, Sorry to hear about this. Can you double check to make sure the pitch bend is working, both up and down? Do you have a device with Chordana Play for Piano app installed that you can connect to it? If so, when it connects use the "Send to settings to Piano" option and let me know if that corrects it. If not, I'd contact your local Casio distributor or Thomann.
  8. Technically it isn't 100% possible. You'd need 8 layers to come close. Yes each of the sample layers are available - GrPiano2-L and GrPiano2-R are the left and right channels of one dynamic level just those two would take 2 of your available 6 layers. Depending on the sound you're going for you could just use dynamic levels 1-3 or 2-4 within the HexLayer limits. What are you trying to do?
  9. Sorry I didn't realize people were compressing files in .RAR format here on the forum. It is like a .zip format but you need software to unrar it.
  10. Hi Jey, Welcome to the forum. Second question first - yes another the tones that you download here can free be used in your performances or recordings. You just can't re-sell the tones themselves. First question - Files downloaded from where? If the tones weren't made for the PX-560 then they can't be loaded into the PX-560. This is true for nearly all keyboards on the market.
  11. Have you turned up the Chorus Send using the knobs?
  12. Record it with any mic - like your video camera:
  13. Wow this has been a long time coming. I think we are finally over a server and software hurdle that we've been working to get over. The forum seems to be running very fast now so fingers crossed. If you experience any issues, let us know.
  14. Based on what you're describing the problem is likely in the Master Compressor settings. If you go there, pressing -/+ over each parameter will restore them to their default settings.
  15. Changed any EQ settings, Compressor Settings? Which Master Effects? Which Stage Setting?
  16. Unscientific side by side comparison with the PX-5S the line output level is identical. Generally speaking Casio instruments leave a little extra headroom compared to some instruments, there are a variety of reasons for that. The PX-S3000 can produce playback from roughly 40 MIDI channels at once!! 16 for MIDI File Playback 16 for USB MIDI Input Rhythm accompaniment and live keyboard playback Audio file playback in addition to piano. DSP can be edited on tones which can significantly alter the main level output level. I have a MOTU Interface here. While I set the TRIM to 0 for the purpose of the test the line level inputs here do have an additional gain control should I need it. It appears that you're using a Steinberg UR242 interface - I'm not sure if you can raise the level of the line inputs in their mixer application or not.
  17. No that isn't the case. The software control actually is the opposite. It allows you to re-enable the speakers even if headphones are being used.
  18. This was done a little while back - here were my settings. Just held a chord and let the pedals do their thing: 1. Vent 2. Burn 147 Setting (tube on, overdrive level 6) 3. Burn 122 Setting (tube on, overdrive level 6) 4. Burn X/Y Setting (tube on, overdrive level 6) 5. Burn Rock2 Setting (tube on, overdrive level 6) Vent vs Burn.mp3
  19. If you're looking purely for the Leslie effect have to lean you towards the Vent. There are things I LOVE about the Burn including: Presets Reverb after the Leslie Tube overdrive MIDI Control So for Leslie only the Vent is just better. That being said the Burn can do some other effects which could be cool. I won't sell my Burn because I'll want to use it with a Rhodes or Clavinet just for the overdrive and other effects. Somewhere I have some A/B recordings I made with both. Let me see if you can find them.
  20. I believe the line outputs are -10dBV, not +4 dBu. I've recorded with the PX-S3000 and obviously we've used it live as well at NAMM. I'll do a side by side tomorrow at the office with the PX-5S to compare and let you know what I find out.
  21. Sorry for the outage everyone. We went through the first of two major server updates to make this place better and more secure. Thanks for your understanding.
