Synching PX5S Arpeggiator to DAW as slave?
Mike Martin replied to Denicio's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
Dennis, Make sure that Cubase is set to send MIDI clock to the Casio. It does not do this on all ports by default. -

PX-850 for a beginner (and playing midi files)
Mike Martin replied to tbaac's topic in Privia x50 x60 Series
Sorry but this is incorrect. The PX-850 does not have the GM soundset. The PX-780 would be a better choice for this application. -
MIDI Designer XW: Now Available
Mike Martin replied to Mike Martin's topic in XW-Series and the iPad
Thanks Alen, I've spent way to much of my own money on camera gear over the last year. We're actually already working on an update. Based on some of my requests during the design process, the team at MIDI Designer is implementing several new changes that really step the user interface up on this application to a new level. Screen shots coming soon. -
I'll certainly request, but based on what I know of the MIDI implementation of the XW series this may not be possible. I'll ask though.

We've changed the way things work over in the downloads section. Sounds are now organized by type. Pianos, electric pianos, synths...etc. It should be easier to find what you're looking for. If you'd like to see more categories or any changes let me know, we're always to looking at ways to make this a better experience.

Great! Thanks for doing the video too!

MIDI Designer XW: Now Available
Mike Martin replied to Mike Martin's topic in XW-Series and the iPad
David, The Android platform doesn't do MIDI very well. I suppose it possible that one day that apps like this will be available on the Windows tablets but nothing is planned. -

AlenK, We are already working on some new things to add to this. I'm not sure if the Virtual Controllers section can be added but I'll look into it. -

Loaded Stage Setting Tone not held after power down
Mike Martin replied to Choppin's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
Knuckles, not need for you or anyone else to do any more diagnosing at this point. It is confirmed as a bug and the rest is up to our team in Tokyo to get it fixed up. I'll keep you posted. -

Thanks to Jaspeter's help, I can confirm that there is a bug as I was able to duplicate the issue. I'll work on resolving this as quickly as possible. -
We're expecting it today.....fingers crossed

Version V1.1

UPDATED: Yet another Rhodes Stage Setting. The velocity response on this one is completely different from anything else in the PX-5S. It has a very nice soft touch but is also very expressive. Stage Setting HerbiesRoadz.ZPF and HexLayer (TouchEP1.ZLT) included. Controls: Slider 1: Distortion Gain (Off by default) Slider 2: Speaker (Bypassed by Default) Slider 3: "Bell Tone" Slider 4-6: Standard Effects. Knobs 1-4: EQ Stereo Tremolo is done using the Arpeggiator. If you want to turn it off just press the Arpeggiator button...no depth control sorry. But you can adjust speed with TEMPO. Variations: New version with Phaser also attached. Audio Demo: https://soundcloud.com/casiomusicgear/px-5s-herbierhodes- 1 comment

Loaded Stage Setting Tone not held after power down
Mike Martin replied to Choppin's topic in Privia Pro PX-5S
Guys and Gals, I've had a few talks with one of the engineers at R&D. We've tested countless units and have not been able to duplicate this. I believe that if there were a memory problem we believe the PX-5S would be behaving much more erratically than this. Since I can't come to each of your homes, I need to verify this bug another way. In order to do that, I'm going to need your help. My hope is that you have a way to record video. A cell phone or webcam will do just fine. Show me step by step what you're doing, the buttons you're pressing. Show me the display as you go. Show me that is there before you turn it off and gone when you turn it back on. Once have the video, it can be posted in a dropbox or unlisted Youtube link that I can get and send to R&D to analyze. If you can do that, I'll do everything in my ability to get your PX-5S fixed up as quickly as possible. If you none of you can make videos, we'll go to plan B. For the record, pressing the WRITE button to store a Stage Setting after loading it from USB is not necessary.
