Carried Away

An animated sound utilizing 3 arpeggios at once. You can say I can "Carried Away" with the arpeggiators tonight. Some special elements used in this 4 Zone Stage Setting. One arpeggiated part has the LFO Wah (very slow) which gives the part some nice tonal change while its played. A second part is using the "controller track" in the arpeggiator to pan it from side to side.

Naked Clavs (No Wah)

These two Stage Settings include the incredible clav sounds on from the PX-5S, this time featured without the wah-wah effect. The Amp selector is still in place on slider 2 and speaker tone on slider 3 and of course distortion on slider 1 giving you incredible number of variations possible with just a few simple tweaks.

EQ'd Grand Piano

Based on a Stage Setting made by Jim Alfredson who's been out performing live with his PX-5S is this new EQ'd piano preset. The low mid frequencies are cut, along with boost in the upper mids and high frequences, resulting in a piano sound that provides some cut and presence in a live mix.
This is a tone, just load it in and try it with any of the existing Piano Stage Settings.

Firmware Version 1.10 Required.
This Stage Setting includes a modified Grand Piano Tone.
In this Stage Setting, the main Concert Grand tone on the PX-5S has been modified to provide a narrower dynamic range. For some players, the dynamic response may seem too wide or difficult to control. This narrowed response may be just what you're looking for.

OLD Vox Continental V301H

UPDATED: Knob4 is now a brightness / filter control, so you can restore some life back into this good 'ol organ.
A variation on the other one...this one is has some age to it. Use the Modwheel for Vibrato
An emulation of a Vox Continental V301H organ as used by the Doors, The Beatles and countless other bands.
This is a rather detailed simulation. Sliders 1 - 4 control the drawbars and tone on each drawbar is accurately represented. Knobs 1-4 give control over distortion, speaker and tone. While this Stage Setting bypasses the speaker by default, be sure to try it through the speakers as it was common heard through an amp, not just direct.

TranceGate1a - with Piano

I took the sound I programmed yesterday, slowed the tempo a bit and added piano to a third zone
A Stage Setting using two zones which explores more into synth side of the PX-5S. This is a Trance Gate sound which makes use of the arpeggiator to repeat notes within a pattern. Stereo crossed delay is added for some additional spice. Now layered with the Modern Grand on Zone 3.
When playing this make use of Slider 1 for filter and Slider 2 for resonance.
Knob 2 will add portamento to the pad sound behind the gated pattern.
Slider 3 changes the octave of two components within the Trancegate sound.

After playing a dedicated virtual analog product from another company that shall remain nameless (you can guess by the title of this Stage Setting), I made this. This uses 4 zones. 3 Arpeggiators and 1 Phrase.
1. Drums: Using a custom phrase (just a simple 1 bar drum pattern)
2. A Hex Layer Synth with a Polyphonic Arpeggio - with filter movements in the steps of the arpeggio pattern.
3. Bass: Arpeggiated line
4. Synth: Another arpeggio
Pretty fun if you ask me.
