  1. The difficulty is you will be playing it live and recording it LIVE. So even if the piece is easy it will certainly keep you on your toes which means the brain will be very active which is most important. Then the brain should look after the rest. .........Oh my goodness That seems so old I'm only 25 (mind you,I've been saying that line for the last 50 years lol)
  2. First I changed the wav file into MP3 then I sent it to the iPad Then I called up iMovie and put the MP3 with the video. Because I started the audio with the first note it will then sync with the video when I press the same note on the video I now have two audios One for the video and one from the MP3 And I silence the audio on the video track and bring up the volume on the MP3 QED If this doesn't make sense tell me where I have explained it badly and I'll try to help
  3. I am he.........that is me Never wanted to be rich and famous and the plan has worked out very well so far
  4. Yea,most of the bass lines are from the original What I do is learn the original as best I can and try to put my own twist on it But the first riff is actually the brass line.
  5. Thank you Cameron, Click track.... no I use the headphones to hear what Im playing I record audio on to the memory stick and video on the iPad you know you can change your name here All the best Majnoon (Hugh)
  6. Thank you Trent and CarloKey,I just used the main grand with a little reverb. Believe it or not my main influence is on this song is Emmylou Harris. Not anything but the sweetness she gives the song,I'm attracted to the quietness and harmony she naturally has.........if you know what I mean.
  7. Thanks Chelsea (SORRY......I got the name wrong)for the kind words. Yes,played on the Px 5s That song takes me away in a dream. I can only capture the moment because of the memory stick(instant recording) If I have time to think about it,I loose it. Yes I used to listen to Dave Grusin a lot years ago on LP.....remember those ? Here is another Beatles no. Blackbird with a very very famous bass player on it from Dublin who now lives in LA https://soundcloud.com/hugh-okelly-1
  8. Having a 2nd keyboard shows how versatile the PX 5s is Lady M is murder to play
  9. MarcusAhlbackYou are very welcome. Yes,you are right The drums are recorded in the phrase section in channel 1 but the TRICK is to record the bass also in channel 1 AND save it THEN call it back in another channel in the arpeggio section as a phrase and when you hear the drums (I leave a stage setting free ,say 6.0 for just that) sync the bass with the drums.....unless the sync is exactly right,it will not bop Majnoon
  10. You may notice the second phrase in the first tune that was brought in later The phrases were recorded all in the PX 5s Does anybody know what the Chameleon drums and bass were auto corrected to?
  11. Just can't find the chord Looking for a chord.mp3
  12. Mr Happyrat1,Gary, Always good to hear your comments. 66/67 cm........yes a little tall for my VW but for what it does 1000 w ,I can live with it Two of those and the bass units and you could play in a very big hall indeed. I think I will just have to get out the saw and take off the octaves myself. Besides as an x-piano tuner I used to help make pianos. A bit of glue and I'll be "sorted" Ha ha Please Casio make the PX4 3/4 please !!! or the PX-5s-1/4 or the PX 64 note s p please ! ! !
  13. For me I still don't see why it would cost more to make the same keyboard with less notes and even if only10% bought it there would still be a huge market.Every time I'm in a piano shop all the piano's are the same all 50 of them. My ideal keyboard would be an 88 note with 2 octaves detachable so it would fit in a small car. The first company who makes one will do well I've got a small hammond(can get an even smaller one) a smaller bose and apart from the piano everything fits. The days of the big van in my opinion (being full of Hugh-mility) are over. The fact is at my age I can't lift heavy gear anymore and besides I have already hurt my back over the years in bands. Remember that Yamaha piano with the metal frame and real strings......a back killer. Bose have just made a new PA which looks perfect for every gig Have you seen it https://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-and-personal-audio/speakers/portable-pa/f1-model-812/ For a small gig you need one or two. For a big gig....https://www.bose.com/products/speakers/portable_pa_speakers/F1-flexible-array-loudspeaker-with-subwoofer.html
  14. How many 88 note pianos are there? I don't know but at least 1000 out there How many light 88 note keyboards that don't cost a' arm and a leg......not many apart from the PX 5s So lets say I want to buy another keyboard but less keys and weighted The only one I can think is the roland RD 64 which is heavy and not in tune.(and now selling cheap,I gave mine back) I spoke to the yamaha UK guy and of course he said that most people want a weighted 88 piano. That is true for 75% of us but what about the 25% who want a small weighted piano that will fit in with the small mixer, small speakers in our new small car because of tax and fuel. I don't see how difficult it would be to take an octave and a half off the PX 5s
  15. I must say....I like that line......must write some more...Thanks That man has good taste......he said being full of Hugh mility !!
