  1. Yes indeed. Casio have said they will collect for repair, but it's no use sending on random events as they will class it as not faulty. I'm thinking of purchasing another keyboard in the near future, although it may not be Casio as just as a personal preference, I don't rate the onboard piano sounds compared to other models out there. That's why I tend to use it as a midi controller mostly. However, for the moment I will see how this random fault progresses. Seems I'm not the only one with this problem.
  2. I did another factory reset which cured it again. Not sure for how long. Seems an intermittent problem. It will work fine for ages and then will happen out of the blue. I don't think it's possible like other keyboards to download any updates as maybe it's a little software bug. My version says 0105.
  3. Unfortunately it is the px 3000 itself. It had been working fine for some time after a factory reset. Tonight I was playing just the keyboard no midi, just onboard piano itself and suddenly the sustain stuck on again. I removed the sustain pedal, that did nothing. I pressed other keys that did nothing but add to the sustain. I had to turn it off and back on again to cure it. Casio have said as its under warranty they will collect for repair, but as its an intermittent problem and can go for days or weeks before it happening again, it could be difficult to solve. They may say they cannot find the problem. So I may have to wait until either it happens more often before returning it for repair, or get shot of it and buy another brand to replace it. My sustain pedal btw is a casio.
  4. I'm now getting similar. Midi keeps freezing notes and going dead. I've had the px s3000 for 13 months that's all. If this is a major fault I'm threw buying casio.
  5. Hi, I know this is an old post. I came across it by chance. I have the same keyboard and same problem. You cant really record it very well for other people to hear, but you can sure hear it through headphones. Its an awfull flat discord note that clashes with the others when your playing. It also depends on the tune you are playing but its definately there. I think its a bad sample of certain notes played together. Did you ever find a cure? Its really annoying. Ive not been impressed by the onboard piano samples either, especially after now using midi samples on my Mac. They make the casio pxs 3000 samples sound cheap.
  6. Yes, got a otg cable and all works well now.
  7. You definitely need a type C OTG cable. Not just your standard charging cable. That won't work.
  8. Just to follow up. I have a a usb B to usb A that fits into a usb A female to usb type c otg adapter for my android phone. It works with the casio piano app. Unfortunately my ipad was too old and wouldn't download either chordana or the new casio app, which was disappointing as its a bigger screen. Shame they didn't make the app backward compatible.
  9. Is the input socket mono or stereo? I don't want to plug in the wrong type of cable and short anything.
  10. I know the 3100 has a Bluetooth dongle to be able to Bluetooth to phone or tablet wireless and use the piano controller software. However, the 3000 has to be connected with a usb type b cable to phone or tablet. Can a Bluetooth midi dongle be connected to the usb type b port to achieve the same thing?
  11. I have problems with this. I naturally assumed as it says in the manual, you just need a readily available cable, that usb B to usb c cable to connect my android phone for chordana to my keyboard would do the job. Apparently not. It seems I need what is classed as a usb c otg type cable. I've now ordered one to see if it makes a difference. Anyone else use android and had to get this otg type C cable?
  12. That's good to hear. I have seen online with other brands that people have needed to replace the rubber contacts even after cleaning sometimes. However, nice to hear they can last a long time. This is my first weighted keyboard. My previous Casio WK3000 which is very old but still working is not a weighted keyboard. I mostly use it as a midi controller nowadays. So far loving my new PX-S3000.
  13. Casio PX S3000. I know I'm looking ahead here, but I also know the rubber contact sensor strips wear out. So with that in mind. Where could one get hold of replacements and do they use a standard strip that is used by other manufacturers?
  14. Hi, my first post. Just purchased and want to register my PX S3000. Where do I locate the Serial number?
