    PX-S3100

Thanks Brad , I didn't try individual registrations.

    PX-S3100

I have received my money back under warranty for both models as they were not fit for purpose, sorry can't help.
  3. Hi All, returned my PXS-3100 and received a full refund. Waiting for a new motherboard in my PXS-3000. It will be interesting to see if this fixes the problem. Merry Christmas to all members and to administrators thank you for this wonderful forum...Glen Shepherd
  4. Hi Joe, just remembered, I replicated the issue( my second keyboard PXS-3000) in front of the Casio Warranty technician at his workshop some 100km from my home. He agreed that there was a fault and said he would order a new motherboard ( September 3rd ) still waiting.
  5. Hi Joe, this is the third keyboard with exactly the same problem. I have had the problem at my home and in the various clubs where I play. In respect to the latest PXS-3100 failure I was playing at a dance in front of 50 people when it crashed leaving the dancers flabbergasted . I have asked the seller for a refund as it is only 10 days old. When my PXS-3000 is repaired? with a new motherboard I expect the problem will still exist. I use registrations extensively and the failure always occurs on changing registration. I still feel the processing chip does not have sufficient power to handle complex algorithms.
  6. Hi Natalie, check out my comments on this problem. Sounds very similar to the way my keyboards have behaved. I believe the problem lies within the processing chip.
  7. Hi Brad, thanks for your reply. I didn't have any peripherals attached to the keyboard. I was just changing registrations and it crashed , the same as the previous 2 keyboards have done. I'm sure you can understand my frustration as I love the product. Please anyone in Australia or Asia-Pacific if you have experienced this event let me know via the forum so that I know I'm not alone.........
  8. Hi All, I purchased a new PX-S3100 receiving it on Friday 3rd December. After several hours of work over a number of days I have almost finished setting up my registrations but the keyboard has crashed. The LCD freezes, no sound then after a few seconds the keyboard turns off! Back to square one. My "old" PX-S3000 ( the second one , as the first was replaced with a brand new one) was assessed by the Casio warranty technician in early September and he observed the crash on the workbench. He has ordered a new motherboard, but we are still waiting. The new PX-S3100 has exhibited exactly the same problem. Surely I'm not the only person having this problem. Come on Casio give me some answers please? I now have 2 keyboards both having intermittent failure. I intended to use the PX-S3100 on the job and keep the old one as a home keyboard. However, I can't rely on either. Unfortunately unless I can get some explanation from Casio I will take this to Australian Consumer Affairs.
  9. My new PXS-3100 works perfectly via bluetooth midi to my iPad Pro using Galileo organ and other apps. Also I've noticed you can now switch off the keyboard speakers when using an external amplifier....a common sense inclusion.
  10. Hi All, just received ( bought) a new PX-S3100 to replace, supplement my PX-S3000 which still has intermittent failures and is due to have the motherboard replaced as soon as the parts arrive. I've struck one compatibility problem already. The PX-S3100 won't load my registrations from the PX-S3000. This is a real nuisance as I thought the two keyboards would be fairly compatible and I've spent a lot of time programming my registrations for the 4 separate gigs where I perform regularly. I hope the new one doesn't repeat the failure of the old model but time will tell. I intend to keep the old one purely for home use. Any advice appreciated...old shep.... ( getting older by the minuet)
  11. Hi , I use Sony headphones and the sound is great. My plug has 4 poles. Not sure if this is pertinent?
  12. Thanks heaps , your download works meaning I can use PX-s3000 tones in the left hand controlling styles from the BK-7M and using tones from the BK-7M in my right hand.
  13. Sometimes when I turn it off( my PX 560M) it comes on again straight away....maybe my finger is bewitched causing my PX-S3000 problems as well?
  14. I connect my PX-S3000 to a Roland BK-7M ( module) using MidiPlus interface , however, I would like to have a split keyboard with left controlling the module with PX tones and right using PX tones or alternatively BK tones. To use BK sounds I need to be able to silence the right hand part of the PX keyboard but still send a midi signal. I can do this with my PX-560M but as yet can't find a way to do it on the PX-S3000. I need to be able to save a "nil" tone as a registration ie one that sends all the midi info but no sound. Any help appreciated.....
  15. I have a Midiplus module ( USB Midi Host) which works fine. I connect my PX-S3000 to a Roland BK-7M ( module) , however, I would like to have a split keyboard with left controlling the module and right using PX sounds or alternatively BK sounds. To use BK sounds I need to be able to silence the right hand part of the PX keyboard but still send a midi signal. I can do this with my PX-560M but as yet can't find a way to do it on the PX-S3000. I need to be able to save a "nill" sound ie one that sends all the midi info but no sound. Any help appreciated.....
