    My church has a Casio Privia P-400R keyboard and it only recently is being used for services. I'd like to use its MIDI capabilities but don't have an instrument definition file that I could import into Cakewalk. Does anyone have a .ins file to share? I know how to connect a PC to MIDI instruments and have both USB MIDI and audio interfaces. The only thing I don't have is an .ins file.

    RE: WK-6600. I have, in the past, created instrument definition files by merely copying to a blank excel spreadsheet the tones listed in the Manual's Appendix (PDF format). The WK-6600 Appendix (PDF) does not allow copying. Is there a workaround or password available to override the PDF copy-lock?

It will allow you to access all of the sounds on the XW-P1 from inside of Sonar, Cakewalk, Reaper, or any other program that uses the .INS instrument definition file format. In this revision I added bank 100 (User PCM Melody) and bank 125 (User Drums) to Mike Martin's V 0.5 Instrument Definition File. Now we can access 100 more user tones (piano, strings/brass, guitar/bass, synth and various) and 10 user drum kits. Click here to download this file

    This is a Cakewalk Sonar Instrument Definition File for the Casio XW-G1. It will allow you to access all of the sounds on the XW-G1 from inside of Sonar, Cakewalk, Reaper, or any other program that uses the .INS instrument definition file format. In this revision I corrected the name of the GM Harp sound (P180, Program 46, Bank 0). This file was based on Mike Martin's Casio XW-P1 V 0.5 Instrument Definition File.
