I've created INS files for the X500, There are separate INS files for instruments and drums. I've loaded this into Sonar and it appears to be working fine. These files can be edited in a text editor like TextPad to customize the instrument names to your liking or add new instruments in the USER sections. File Name: Casio XW-P1 Cakewalk Sonar Instrument Definition File File Submitter: tnt2gamer File Submitted: 02 Nov 2013 File Category: XW-P1 This is a modified Cakewalk Sonar Instrument Definition File for the Casio XW-P1. It will allow you to access all of the sounds on the XW-P1 from inside of Sonar, Cakewalk, Reaper, or any other program that uses the .INS instrument definition file format. In this revision I added bank 100 (User PCM Melody) and bank 125 (User Drums) to Mike Martin's V 0.5 Instrument Definition File. I'd like to control the PX-780 from Cubase (which is a computer DAW sequencer similar to Sonar or Cakewalk). That would be much easier if I could find a patchname script file (.txt) or an instrument definitions file (.ins file) for the PX-780. Does anyone know where I can find such a file for the PX-780? (I assume the file for a PX-350 would be similar.) If a patch script file is available, I would be much more likely to buy a PX-780, instead of a Roland, Yamaha, or Korg keyboard. Thanks. I am using the PX-5S to record piano for a session. During playback the control messages aren't being received by the keyboard while the notes are playing. I am using Cakewalk Sonar X3 on a Win 8.1 PC. I am utilizing the USB connection. If I look in the piano roll view, I can see the CC64 messages. If I load up a soft-synth piano, the sustain works. I've tried using MIDI out from my audio interface instead of USB with no change. I verified that the system settings are set to allow control changes. So, what am I missing? -

In this revision I corrected the name of the GM Harp sound (P180, Program 46, Bank 0). This file was based on Mike Martin's Casio XW-P1 V 0.5 Instrument Definition File. -
