  1. Hiya, I own a Casio WK-3200. Am a second owner. I am also selling it as I am looking to upgrade so I want to know if I can fix it. The person I bought the keyboard from wasnt the owner, but her sister owned it and was selling for her. She said her sister had barely used it at all. When I got it, the keyboard looked great, well kept so I dont want to blame damage from the previous owner. Problem: So all keys work fine except for C2 and C3. The issue is when these two are pressed with a bit more force, either individually or together, there is a rattling sound or like a distortion. When I play a C octave as bass notes on the left hand and a C chord on the right hand (with the two keys being pressed mentioned above) it is highly likely that this distorted or like rattling sound occurs. It makes playing the notes sound bad, happens in both speakers. Touch sensitivity is set to 2, which is good for how I play but its just the two C notes ruining it. If I set the tranpose to '01' instead of '00' it fixes it but it changes how everything sounds and I am not a fan. This ringing/rattling/distorted noise happens on any touch sensitivity just at different points when pressing the keys. Its not a matter of 'just press the keys with less force', I am selling this keyboard and it shouldn't happen so I am asking for a fix for it so its as good as new to go to a new owner.
  2. Hi all, Got my px-s1000 last week in order to learn piano. Really like it and love that I can practice with the headphones on when family go to bed. Anyhow, just tonight I have noticed a sort of knocking sound, like knocking on a wood table sort of sound (but sort of with echo/reverb type quality too) in the higher keys, noticeable faintly from around the 5 keys then more and more so as you continue up, to where the top keys are more percussion/knocking than note. Basically is this mimicking the sound of an actual piano? I am not talking about physical knocking/sounds of the keys being pressed here, it doesn't do it on electronic piano setting for example, but it is like the sound is simulated to be like that. I've tried all grand piano settings and rock piano setting and sounds same. Any help much appreciated. Kind regards Craig Voice 002.m4a

  4. These are songs I’ve made entirely on Casio gear (except three tracks use a rubber chicken which I’m not sure of the brand). These are all CT-X3000. Last 3 have some custom styles. The next 3 are WK-7600. The last one uses a custom style. But it’s just the polka style edited with piano, synth bass, and organ.
  5. I pulled the trigger on a Casiotone CT-S300! Black Friday deal of 20% off $139 RRP, which is the price I've seen on every other site currently selling this model. I used the coupon code "THANKS20". Only 1 left in stock, so I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else was looking to get one at a bargain price. (Hope it's ok to share a link to the seller's site?) https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adorama-camera/product/CSCTS300/?sku=CSCTS300&scid=pla_google_adorama-camera&gclid=CjwKCAiA_f3uBRAmEiwAzPuaM_4EqktdMmx_7MfaUKKkSLvdI8JSfxc7tDaZ6Dig4KbTzr_WHwFhABoCBxcQAvD_BwE
  6. Another great demo on the PX-S3000. Particularly impressed with the quick and repetitive note response from the keyboard.
  7. Would really like to have some tracks with the 32 track and 16 track for southern gospel music without keyboard or piano music attached. I am a beginner and could sure use a lot of help. LOL all help appreciated.
  8. I entered a competition by Metapop in conjunction with Cats on Synthesizers in Space, that required a "Cat themed" composition with a cat sound(s) used predominantly through the song. You can hear my song at the link below! Most of the sounds and main voice cat samples are from my Casio XW-G1. The song was originally composed on the G1 using its step sequencer and arpeggiator features, and then transferred into my DAW where I then arranged and edited the song. https://metapop.com/clark-denham/tracks/casio-b-meowsic-cat-aclysm-mix/97980 EQUIPMENT: B. Meowsic Cat Keyboard (modified with a line out) Casio XW-G1 synth/ sampler/ step sequencer DAW: Acoustica Mixcraft Pro 8 Audacity was used to trim, edit, normalise and stretch samples. Paulstretch effect used within Audacity for stretching samples. Main melody “Meow” voice: To keep a cat theme going, I chose to use a B. Meowsic toy cat keyboard for the main melody “meow” sound. This was sampled into the XW-G1, and played live by hand, I mean paw, to give a more human, er, I mean feline feel! Ethereal “Space Kitten” pad sound: Same B. Meowsic “Meow” sample as used for the main voice. This was imported into Audacity, stretched with Paulstretch, then transferred into the XW-G1 and played by paw. Bass line: Generated by the Casio XW-G1 arpeggiator, with the pattern data then exported via MIDI and recorded in the DAW. DAW then played the MIDI bass line back into the XW-G1, and the XW patch (P051 – “Synth Bass 1”) audio was recorded. Drums: Casio XW-G1, factory kit (P406 “Synth Set 1”). Original beat programmed on the XW’s step sequencer, then transferred, built upon and edited within the DAW. This was then fed back into the XW via MIDI and the XW’s “Synth Set 1” drum audio was recorded. Samples: Manually placed within the DAW to give an interplay between cats and dogs.
  9. Hi all, I know it's very quiet in the XW world these days, so I am not sure how many people are left to offer advice. Anyhow, I have dug out my G1 after not using it for some time, and have started using it for its sampling features. I am also using the Casio Data Editor to do a lot of the programming/ transfer samples/ transfer data etc. One thing I am trying to do, is use it as a traditional sampler, i.e. so that I can multi sample a classic synth wave, apply it across the keyboard, and have it loop the samples when a key is held down. I have managed to do all three of these tasks, however, when it comes to setting a loop point I cannot seem to get it to do so without noticeable clicks/ pops when it loops. No matter where I set the loop point in the Data Editor, I can reduce the clicks/ pops, but cannot get a seamless loop to occur. I recall reading somewhere that it is better to prepare/ trim samples offline via an editor such as Audacity, and then load them into the G1. I have Audacity and I am quite familiar with using it, so can anyone advise what I need to do to a sample to get a seamless loop point? Just to sum up, I am trying to sample sounds that will play when a key is pressed, and will loop continuously if/ when the key is held down without popping or clicking during the looping stage. Hope someone can help!
  10. So I recently picked up the XW-P1 used from Guitar Center. The first thing I have noticed is that the Eb, E, F, and F# below middle C are really out of tune in the StreoGrPiano factory tone. Is this normal? I have reset it to factory settings and it is still the same. Is it just a poor sample? Is there a way I can fine tune each note?
  11. Can anyone recommend a great synth to go in the backgroundto download from here. I play lots of new age contemporary christian and looking for some good sounds. Any help is appreciated Casio PX 560m
  12. Hello everybody, Here is a nice demonstration video of the CT-X700. IMHO it shows that the CT-X700/800 are much more than just beginner keyboards. I am quite proud because this video was made at my request. Here it is: Regards.
  13. Hello, This is my first post. I know nothing about music, but want to learn to play keyboards for pastimes. I did some research on the web, and this has led me to narrow down my choice to Casio keyboards. My preference in decreasing order(according to the products available in my country): 1) CTK-7300IN (sliders on left side) 2) WK-240K7 (76 keys) 3) CT-X870IN/ CT-X8000IN (new AiX sound engine) Questions: 1) Since where I live, music and keyboards are a very rare hobby, I am not getting a used one, and the equivalent of 280 USD is the most I can spend, are the choices of keyboards correct? (7300 cost my quivalent of 280 USD, that's 3/5 of a month's salary) 2) I want one good keyboard, so that after I learn my way around music, I can still use the keyboard for making better music, are the afore-mentioned choices good? 3) Someone on a forum claimed that CTK-7300 come close to workstation capabilities, so does that mean I can actually synthesize music with its Drawbar Sliders? 4) In my learning journey, will 61 keys hinder me, so that I can consider the WK240 76 key version? 5) What kind of DSP do these Casios have? And do I need a hardware synth module so that I can create advanced effects? (Like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV2FIWhH-Z8) 6) Does AHL vs AIX matter for me? People already claim Yamahas have more depth of sound than Casios, and I don't want a Yamaha. (My choice: 7) Can I make guitar pedals FX work with my Casio? Do I need guitar pedals for FX like reverb or delay? 😎 Do I need a monitor speaker? Will a plain CD Player's speaker work? Are the Keyboard's onboard speakers good enough or poor? 9) Since these have USB MIDI, can I connect them directly to a speaker? 10) Do I need a DAW? What are some low cost/ free DAWs? Is a soft-synth far better than any hardware synth, since they use computer CPUs?
  14. Hey! I have just started making hip hop beats, rap beats and house music. I am in the really early stages of learning how to produce my own tracks, so ANY advice would be great and is encouraged. As long as its an honest opinion and constructive criticism I am open to hear it! TAKE A PEAK @ MY SOUNDCLOUD: https://soundcloud.com/jimmercx2 Bassy Hip Hop.mp3
  15. My apologies for such a rudimentary question, but I am looking to pick up a used Casio keyboard that is a) touch sensitive for piano, and b) has a wide variety of organ tones. I'm trying to stay under $200 for a used keyboard, but I could go higher. My question is which Casio keyboard(s) is best for my purposes? I've seen many WK-200s out there, and it seems like a good one for me, but I'm not sure how it compares to other models given my criteria. I don't want an instrument for beginners, but also don't want to spend a ton at this time. Thanks.

  18. Hello, How are you? I share with you some samples created with the CASIO XW-G1 after a long period of inactivity in this forum. The use of the XW-G1 is different from everything known and that makes it special. The XW-G1 really is a beast disguised as a foolish sheep. It offers an infinity of wonderful things. It is a jewel in the world of synthesizers and electronic music. Greetings and have a good day. Thank you. 80 A ring tone lo-fi Future PUM BUM yeeeeaa The banjo of the beast The cheerful machine The Walker The wandering whistle Tranquility
  19. Orchestral Piece done entirely on the CASIO WK-1350. When Mike Martin listened to this, he could hardly believe that the WK-1350 was capable of such a thing! How many of YOU , in "Casio-Land" also like to do "orchestral" on YOUR Casio Keyboard of choice? Let us HEAR you!
  20. Does somebody knows which tone preset does Kristian Terzić use in this YouTube video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=24&v=_01GTpr6RCg Starting at 2:07... Regards, Frank
  21. I own a digital keyboard of CASIO. It is having 17 sets of percussion instruments. Now the problem is when I create a midi drum pattern, it is played by the first set, i.e. , Standard Set 1(It has all sounds of GM). But if I have to play it according to another set ( Ethnic set or Indian set) , is it possible? I believe there is some roll of bank set , is there?
  22. Hi I just wondering if a device is available that connects to midi out that can display the transpose settings for my CDP130 when I change them on the keyboard. I know that this feature is usually on higher priced models. I have considered connecting my Korg midi controller to midi in to control it as this has an led display that shows the transpose setting. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks Stuart
  23. So, the Yamaha Tyros is sold, and it's now time for something else to play on until i have enough money for the Yamaha Genos. Now, in Holland they sell the MZ-X500 for roughly 700 euro's BUT! In Germany i can get the MZ-X300 for about 400 euro's LESS. So that is a lot of money.. So i'm wondering, what exactly are the differences between the MZ-X300 and 500? 200 less tones (Because of the missing Hex Layer feature?) 128MB sample ram instead of 256MB ? 4 non-velocity sensetive pads instead of 16 velocity sensetive pads Less rythms (But you can probably load the X-500 rythms in there anyways..) Different colour. Anything else i'm missing here? I mean, 300 bucks for one of the best casio's out there (The other one being the X500) Is a steal.
