It's been five years since my beloved Maestro Lyle passed away.
Today I've been working on building the Synt-Pad sound that he often used in many songs.
In the attached song you can listen to a short introduction to the song "September fifteenth". Forgive me for any mistakes, but I'm not even remotely Lyle Mays.

this one is just an addittion to zone 1 but liked it allot myself.
DoubleSix Bass is something I made with hexlayer could
have done it with one hexlayer but I was satisfied as it is. - DOUBLESI.ZPF

Playfull V01

Here's a Hexlayer Tone called "SomethingNew" I did some time ago. It has a brassy (synth) kind of sound to it.
Also, when you release the keys the sound is programmed to sort of talk back at ya
If you use the stagesetting PLAYFULL.ZPF (instead) and you hard-press the keys in the lower keyboard range you'll hear an arpeggio.
I included a sound demo (of the stagesetting) as well.
Have fun with it.

On "PX-5S Programming: Analog Style Explorations". The resulting sound was incredible, and I've been looking for it as a download on this forum. It seems it is nowhere here
So I meticulously tried to mimic the settings that Mike made to the sound in the Hex Layer Engine on his PX-5S until the point (at 49:32) in the above mentioned video where he saves it to memory.
I would like to emphasize that this file is only an imitation - not the original.
About the sound:
You can manipulate the LFO using the modulation wheel.
I have named the it "Analog" (as in the video).
Finally, I uploaded a short audio demo of the sound.

Smooth Lead Stage [Performance-PX5S]

Electronic style primary using arpeggio and preset phrase.
Its a play ready stage for some lounge and fun time.
Zone one Hex-Drmkit - (Prefer adding the drumphrase to this zone (is cool))
Zone two Hex-Bass-plucks
Zone three Bass as Lead
Zone four Bass
A drumphrase of my own making add it , leave it or create something yourself recording a pattern its cool.
Got two version cause I love to over edit a file to infinity I've restrained myself this time :).

Gated-Acid-String [PX5S]

(Properly renamed what these stages do, A gated effect done with six step and step size note arpeggio
The Gated effect created also using Pitch-Shifter with low settings dsp value's find a swing and fatten
the tone up , The string Amp is set with a quick attack and slow decay followed by something similar with the filter )
Electronic music its a bit ambiance acid , house at tempo 108,
lounge music.
Zone 1 : Hex DrmKit - Standard Phrase 33
Zone 2 : Hex layer saw from somewhere. - arpeggio
Zone 3 : Bass - arpeggio
Zone 4 : Gated String - arpeggio.
IntheAcid has an acid type sound
IntheDeep has a club lounge type of sound.
I'm experimenting allot with sound they where ready there I just needed to
put them together I did this in like 5 minutes from an older earlier stage called
InTheMix.

ClubHouse Hex Kickdrum [PX5S]

This stage plays a four on the floor on C2.
Here a Kick drum made with sine lead instead of sine
the thump is from portamento because the arpeggio
follows with two note's portamento gets in effect.
(I've actually wanted a quick single note pitch change
to activate portamento within hexlayer without using
arpeggio for that maybe I'll get an idea later how to)
Its interesting how many other instruments one can build
with the myriad of sounds inside the PX5S.
It is possible to record the arpeggio to a two pattern phrase
free the range of zone 1 fully set phrase to fix
and the kick pattern plays on every key.

Contains four zones of sounds
A Hex deep bass kick drum triggered on C2
An arpeggio-only pad it triggers once holds as long is pressed.
A smooth pad which swells up
An arpeggio-only fluttering Sine.
It can be standalone or with any other accompaniment from audio, synth, daw or anything.
The way the deep bass kick came together thanks to a small trick with arpeggio.

SweetDR Seq 3
Hi friends!
This is my first attempt to create the famous timbres and also the sequencer of the music Sweet Dreams.
The sequencer is a stereo track, i tried to simulate the same pan of the original record.
To the solo "synth strings" i used some layers of saw waves with a bit of detune.

FisherFly Ambiance - zone 3 is tuned for a song of my own so this one is different.

A fun way to experiment with preset arpeggio to create a mellow ambiance,
I've took two preset hexlayers edit and panned them left right for zone 1 and 2,
Had a fish in my mind at a big lake with lots fishes swimming in clear water insects flying around
a sunny day in a lovely looking garden like surrounding with butterfly's and bee's , frogs , deer and rabbits.
And there is that king or Queen fish guarding all that splendor in peace its all tranquility.

Big Synth

This is a classic big synthesizer sound. Think Oberhiem or something like that. All four slots are loaded with detuned sawtooth waves.
Only slot four is set with a resonant filter sweep. Leaving the other three oscillators without resonant filtering allows for filter sweep without losing fatness.
Only slot one is configured for portamento. This allows you to play fast figures using portamento without the sloppy sound portamento can sometimes give plus the nice effect as the portamento oscillator slides into tune with the others. It’s an especially good effect if you’re running though distortion much like when a guitar player bends one string up to unison with another string that’s sounding.
Likewise, vibrato is only configured for one slot to get the growl as one oscillator cycles in and out of tune with the others.
Slider 1 - Intensity of the filter sweep
Slider 2 - portamento time
Pedal 1 - toggles portamento off/on
Slider 3 – distortion
Slider 4 – chorus
Slider 5 – delay
Slider 6 - reverb

Hi friends!
This is a new version of timbres i made for the classic Mr.Crowley by Ozzy Osbourn recorded by Don Airey on keyboards.
In the left side of the Keyboard( C-1 to A-3) i put the Moog sounds and the church organ sound that toghether makes the melody.
In the midle region (Bb-3 to E-5) theres the famous timbre of synth strings based in Saw tooth waves and detuned setup.
And in the region ( D-5 to C-9) are the choir voices.
The pedal works only to the "moog" timbre and pitch bend is set to range 12.

Esta é uma nova versão dos timbres que fiz para o clássico Mr.Crowley de Ozzy Osbourn, gravado por Don Airey nos teclados.
No lado esquerdo do teclado (C-1 a A-3), coloquei os sons de Moog e o som de órgão que juntos fazem a melodia.
Na região intermediária (Bb-3 a E-5), há o famoso timbre de cordas sintetizadas baseadas em SAW tooth e Detune
E na região (D-5 a C-9) estão as vozes do coral.
O pedal funciona apenas para o timbre "moog" e o pitch bend está definido para o intervalo 12.

Arpeggio Drumloop

Stage with a Hex-Drumkit and arpeggio for drumloop , There are no phrases used.
Use the sliders to play or program them with other controller value's for different things.
Just to show its possible on the PX5S to do hexlayer stuff.
*Tip*
(I later found out instead to make a hexdrum sound per key note C2 for Dbass , D2 for Snare I could have combine two sounds together
on the same note like HiHat and Drumbas together which would be lesser glitch *(although that is also nice for a vibe )* For those whom
want to improve it like that ) I'm going to program the next one for some Jarre music like Magnetic and such.
