jessej
Hi, I'm having trouble loading wave files onto the XW-G1. I have tried a few different sample rates and bit depths but I keep getting a format error. I would appreciate some advise. Thanks

jessej
It seems no matter what parameters I choose when I export I still get the format error.
Brad Saucier
Are you using the XW-G1 data editor to convert the wav files to Casio format?
jessej
yes, trying to.
Brad Saucier
What program are you using to export? Are you using 16bit 44.1 wav?
jessej
Protools. I tried several sample rates all at 16 bit. And yes, I tried 16bit 44.1 wav. It's strange because one time the file loaded using that sample rate, but now it doesn't work for me.
Brad Saucier
Something odd is happening. I would try another program to export. Do you have Audacity?
jessej
Yep, Audacity worked. Thanks, Everything uploaded fine. So I can only use 10, I can't add the samples to the other user tone locations? Also, I noticed when I play the sample using the keyboard it won't loop automatically; it just plays and stops, even with the hold button pushed. I know it will loop on the sample looper, but I thought I could use the keyboard to trigger and loop samples, so I could do a few at a time. I appreciate all the help. Brad Saucier
There is space for 10 user wave tones on the G1. Each one can have up to 5 splits. To loop samples, in tone mode, select a user wave tone then press edit. Loop points can be edited for each split there.
