Badesh
Hi, i'm having a hard time here with the basics. It's simple, i record 2-3 prases and want to arrange them in a song. i get the concept. But my phrases always play with the tone that is currently set. How can i assign a tone to a phrase? Thank you!
Brad Saucier
Which of these are you using to play the phrases? A) The phrase recorder itself B ) The song sequencer C) One or more arpeggiator D) All of the above E) I hate multiple choice questions
Badesh
i tried A and B. with A) - if i record a piano phrase and want to add, let's say a string to it, my piano phrase get's played by the strings as well and B ) - i add a phrase to the sequencer in line 1, but there is no option to assign a tone to the line as well. i obviously don't get a basic concept - maybe it has something to do with the "bank" button - i tried to let it flash and then write a phrase but it doesn't assign the tone to the phrase as well. ^^" and E) they really mess with my sense for written words
Brad Saucier
Yes. You need to study this more. There is much to learn. For example: Create your phrases with the phrase recorder first then save them. Then open the song sequencer. Place your piano phrases on track 1, string phrases on track 2, etc. Then assign your tones, levels, midi channels and more using the song mixer.
