VTPete
I just received my CT-X700. My hope is to use it as an additional sound engine and auto-accompaniment module for my CP-300 stage piano. For the price, I'm quite impressed with the sounds. My question to everyone here is: Am I missing some way of making settings change "stick" after you power down? For example, my default chord detection style is "full keyboard". Is there a way to save this? Ditto with auto-harmonizing style and other settings. My second question is: Can I use a male USB 2 to male USB 2 to connect another USB MIDI keyboard to this to act as a keyboard? -Pete
Brad Saucier
See the manual on saving keyboard setups to registrations. A registration saves the settings of the keyboard. As far as USB, CT-X700 USB MIDI can only connect to host USB devices. You'll need a MIDI host of some type in between the CT-X700 and CP-300. That can be a computer or host box. VTPete
Thanks, Brad! I had considered the registrations, but haven't played with them yet. I'll give it a shot. As for the MIDI host, I'll probably not go that route and instead just use the keyboard as stand-alone or just plugged into the CP-300 for amplification. -Pete
