Scott2742
I got my PX 560 less than a week ago and I am fairly new to keyboarding. As such, I was wondering if a manual or tutorial exists anywhere that not only shows us HOW to use the many specific features of the PX 560, but also explains what the terms used actually mean. This statement probably makes expert players and the Casio administrators roll their eyes, but for a newbie, an explanation of what velocity, attack, decay, start trigger, and amp envelopes, for example, mean are invaluable (and could probably make someone a lot of money). The touchscreen is wonderful, but when getting into the detailed pages I'm confused because of not knowing what the terms mean and how their settings will affect the sounds on the keyboard. Thanks everyone! Scott
Brad Saucier
Velocity, attack, amp envelopes, etc. are all general synthesizer terms, not specific to any brand or model keyboard. You can search the internet for tutorials on synth basics. This is still probably one of the best videos on the web for learning...... Videos, books, whatever, appreciate all your input I've been playing acoustic piano most of my life, and have had a play around with a few keyboards, but not familiar enought o fully utilise it. Many thanks!
Joe Muscara
There are several PX-560 videos on Casio's YouTube channel.
AlenK
And there is this thread here in the forum from September of last year. I don't think any official PX-560 videos have been released since then but I'm too lazy to check:
