Sandro Sensei
Hi everyone, I would like to know if anyone has managed to play ct-x from another keyboard. I managed to connect my px-5s to the ct-x5000 but it only played the piano, the rhythms could not be activated, the program change does not work, while the opposite, ct-x to px-5s works. I used the MidiRoute software. Can someone help me? Thank you.
Brad Saucier
Hi Sandro. Rhythms can't be controlled via MIDI, but tones can indeed be selected. The tone list in the manual will show you what bank and program change data is needed to select each tone. You'll need to send those commands to call up particular tones. Sandro Sensei
Thanks Brad, still it's a shame I would have liked to play it in full keyboard mode.
vbdx66
Hi @Sandro Sensei what you could do I guess is use your piano to play the tones, and trigger the rhythms from the CT-X rhythm controller. Maybe you could use a kind of rack to have the CT-X on top of your piano.
floydatom
@Sandro Sensei I guess a firmware update from Casio could address this . Try posting this to Casio . TBH Im not sure where that can be done .
