Guidoracer
Is there a way to calibrate the mod wheel? Once my PX-560 warms up, I can hear some modulation, even on the default grand piano. If I hold the mod wheel al the way down, it goes away. I think it’s also messing with my ability to use the sequencer, as it always starts recording immediately when I press the play or record buttons. Thanks in advanced! Brad Saucier
Try moving the wheel up and down several times, the entire length of travel. It could just be dirty and that would help clean it. If that doesn't help, it will probably need servicing.
Guidoracer
I certainly hope it not dirty contacts, since I bought it brand new just a couple of months ago. BTW, I’m running firmware 1.16, FWIW.
IanB
I don't see how the mod wheel would affect the sequencer. If the machine is that new, I'd give Casio Support a call.
Brad Saucier
Any internally generated MIDI event triggers the MIDI recorder to start recording when it's in stand by mode. That tells me the mod wheel is sending erratic messages. I would definitely send it in for service since it's new.
Guidoracer
I confirmed that the mod wheel was the culprit in my inability to use the sequencer by creating an registration that has the mod wheel disabled for all uppers and lowers. So, until my local service center here in Los Angeles is open for business again for warranty work, I'll just have to set up some registrations for when I don't want to use the mod wheel.
