sam-px5s
Hello everyone, I connected PX5s to my DAW and for each channel, I am sending different reverb ( CC 91 ) but apparently change the effect for all the channels. How could I have reverb level based on each individual channels in my songs? Thanks
Brad Saucier
I'm not sure I understand what you have set up. Can you provide more details?
sam-px5s
Happy new year Brad! It was my mistake Px5s is OK. It looks I have problem with Cubase. If I use MIDI effect, I could change the cc and could hear the effects on each channels but when I add the CC as an even in a midi track it does not work. It is something related to Cubase apparently. Thanks for the quick reply Brad! Brad, is it possible you guys use the string samples from WK1200 to Px5S? The strings of older Casio keyboard are much richer Have a great new year CASIO
Brad Saucier
Have you tried some of the downloads? https://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/files/category/16-strings-brass-and-orchestral/page/2/

sam-px5s
Just for my curiosity, these are just presets or also really you guys put better samples ( particularly for strings) into it? Thanks
Brad Saucier
They use the PX-5S synth section to alter and reshape the original samples, some more than others. Some dramatic differences can be made with the editing tools.
sam-px5s
So basically you mean that you literally, change the value of each samples for a particular sound to make a new one (with fixed sample length based on the memory of Px5s)? It will be amazing if we could do it too as a user. Thanks
Brad Saucier
Something called "split shift" in hex layer editing can alter the timbre of the original samples. This, in combination with other typical synthesizer tricks and layering with other samples in clever ways, can help create some things that may seem impossible sometimes.
