dask Posted June 14, 2021 Share Posted June 14, 2021 Hi Anybody can comment on quality loss when using LEFT MONO output only? It seems to me like when I use MONO quality drops like 70%. Example: I plug both outs to interface so PX5S should output on both as far I understand , quality as expected , however if I take cable out (R) my understanding is that this should switch to MONO mode on one channel - I think it does but the quality is just crap - seems to me that MONO mode is useless. Is mine broken? However recording in stereo then converting externally to mono works much better - no such quality loss - I am wondering what is going on here... Brad Saucier Posted June 14, 2021 Share Posted June 14, 2021 You should not be losing quality when using the left mono output. It could be a cable issue. Have you recorded anything with it like that?
