Quord
Hello. How do you set the MIDI receive channel on the Privia PX-5s? And can it be done system-wide rather than by stage-setting? Currently I have the “basic channel” in system settings set to 1, but the PX not only plays what is coming in from my DAW on that channel but also what my DAW is sending to channel 2, which is intended only for a separate tone generator set to receive only that channel. The setup currently is computer interface midi out to tone generator in and tone generator thru to the PX. The PX midi out goes to the computer interface MIDI in. I expect the generator thru to pass MIDI signals on to the PX, but was hoping to limit what actually sounds by limiting the receive channel. But I don’t seem to find that exact setting to change. Thought “basic channel” might do it, but it doesn’t so far.
Brad Saucier
Receive channels cannot be changed in the PX-5S, however any of the 16 parts of the sound generator can be disabled. Press system settings>sound generator>mixer>part enable>OFF.
