bimfood
Hey guys, I have loaded some user samples into my MZ-X500 lately. I noticed some sound changes between the WAV file and the ZTN playback in the MZ-X500. Especially with Saw-Waves and Brass Ensebles the ZTN sounds are thinner and spikier. I import the wave files with 40.1 kHz, as it is written in the manual of the SampleManager. How can I ensure a better fidelity from WAV to ZTN? Brad Saucier
Did you mean 44.1 khz?

Brad Saucier
It should sound exactly the same as the input file, as long as filter cutoff is not altering sample playback. Have you tried adjusting filter cutoff on the tone?
bimfood
There is no cutoff applied. I just imported the samples via the sample Manager Software. maybe I should try to connect the line out from the laptop to the mz‘s audio in. So the signal goes through the mz‘s AD-converter…. Perhaps it will be the same?
