Jmac
Is there a way to play a recorded Midi performance and then live Audio PX-S3000 at the same time and record that Audio? I suspect you would need two devices (the Casio and something else), but I wondered if this was possible on the Casio alone.
Brad Saucier
Did you mean record audio to a flash drive as the MIDI recording plays?
Jmac
Yes that's correct. I would like to play a recorded Midi file on the keyboard and also record an Audio file of live playing at the same time.
Brad Saucier
I'm not entirely sure if it's possible on the S3000. Someone with access to one can confirm. If it is possible, you would start the audio recorder first, then go to your MIDI recorder song and start playback. The interface may not allow it however. Again, I'm not certain either way. kybdsammer
I don't think this is possible on the Casio PX-S3000 alone. I tried a couple of ways and was not able to do it. You probably need two devices like you mentioned.
Jmac
Thanks for the help. I was able to record live playing over an Audio recording that was connected to the keyboard via Bluetooth. The keyboard records both the live playing and the Bluetooth recording as a WAV file on the thumb drive. This is not what I needed for my purposes, but it's interesting to note.
