Mark Friedman
On a PX-5S, when you split the keyboard to have a bass sound in the left hand, and a piano, or other sound in the right hand, is it possible to send the bqass out of the LEFT MONO output, and the Piano, or other sound, out of the RIGHT OUTPUT? Brad Saucier
Yes, press edit, zone, mixer edit. There you can pan each zone left or right. For piano, you will need to select a mono piano tone for panning.
Mark Friedman
Thanks so much Brad. Can I then save that as a STAGE PRESET?

Mark Friedman
Is it possible to have a 3rd zone layered over the second zone, but have the volume controlled by an Expression Pedal plugged into "PEDAL 2". I don't want to alter the volume of ZONE 1 or 2 with the pedal. Can this work?

pax-eterna
As long as there are no master EFX set yes it works...the MFX are hard-wired to stereo. So if you want a bit of say, slapback echo on a bass sound, you'd have to use the insert efx on the part. Bearing in mind you can have only one insert efx per part. So if you also need a compressor, you are out of luck.
XW-Addict
It is possible to make a stereo sound mono , Distortion effect is one of the DSP that keeps the sound centered, The only thing to do is reduce the effect so much that it doesn't kick in. I know cause by George I tried so much to figure out why it couldn't output in stereo. I think it differs between hexlayer and tone sounds.
