Links to CT-S1000V/CT-S500 content

Recommended Posts

Hi --

I just gathered links to the CT-S1000V/'CT-S500 content on my site.  Posted them to the Music Player forum, so all y'all get them, too. 🙂

Everything CT-S1000V applies to the CT-S500 except vocal synthesis. Hope this is a resource for all.

At least six gigs with the CT, including Easter Sunday morning. Good instrument, that!

All the best -- pj

Thank you for sharing your extensive writings with everyone on CMF.   I'm sure many will discover things they didn't know was possible with these instruments.  They truly have some high level control under the hood, and high level sounds to inspire creation.

I see you mentioned something about an effects block diagram for these CTS models.  I think it's safe to assume the CT-X3000/5000 diagram is very close to how the CT-S effects system is arranged.

Hi folks --

Thanks!

Before retiring, I worked in software development and provided occasional direct support to customers. One thing I learned -- engineers tend to write very focused manuals, i.e., what some specific feature is and (maybe) a step-by-step for using/exercising the feature. But, manuals often lack the bigger picture about how features interact or how features are used in typical user scenarios. Fortunately we had some tech writers who "got it."

Hey, hey, keep havin' fun -- pj

I'm trying to load PJD's registration banks, but the Casio is telling me no file found. I tried formatting the USB stick on the Casio itself, and the files copy over to the stick (from my Mac) without a problem, but the Casio is not seeing them, it still says NO FILE when I look for Registrations under the Media tab. Has anyone else run into this? Has anyone else successfully done this, dragging the files over onto the USB stick from a Mac?

I tried one since you asked.  It worked fine on my 1000V.   The pack is zipped, so I unzipped it, copied one of the RBK files to the MUSICDAT folder on the flash drive, moved the drive to the keyboard, waited for it to mount, pressed media>load>reg bank> the file showed up and loaded correctly.  That's with Windows.  Now Mac? I don't own one so I can't help much there.  I recall quite a few forum posts in the past have mentioned issues with Mac transfers, something about file extensions being altered.
