drnorm1
Is there a mechanism to play, in the background, an Afro Cuban rhythm while playing the keyboard? Are there presets available or do you have to prepare the process in some manner?

There are four ways to do it. 1 : Play a rhythm from a wav file 2 : Play a Afro Cuban from midi file 3: Create a song with song mode. (importing midi patterns with the app or manually record them) 4: Use zone one for a drum only Afro Cuban rhythm either directly from a stage or a pattern by using phrase sequencer . drnorm1
Can I record a loop and input it in the Flash drive?
Brad Saucier
Yes, that is what I would do.
drnorm1
I now have the flash drive loading with the Afro Cuban loop. Kindly instruct me how to load and save it into my keyboard.
Brad Saucier
Audio files play directly from the flash drive. No need to load. The PX-5s will play WAV files in 44.1khz 16 bit format. The files must be named..... TAKE00.WAV TAKE01.WAV TAKE02.WAV etc....etc. The files must be place in the MUSICDAT folder on the flash drive. drnorm1
I converted the file to Wave and renamed it. Now, how do I access it on my keyboard while being able to accompany it with my piano setting?
Brad Saucier
Press the audio recorder button to access the file.
drnorm1
I placed the Flash Drive into the slot and pushed the Media button. It says, No File. The flash drive is a Wav file named Takeoo.waw. Are the zero's or 0?
Brad Saucier
Press the "audio recorder" button, not the media button. 00, 01, 02 are numbers, not letters. Multiple files stored on the drive must be named in numerical order as the example in my post above.
drnorm1
it still says "No File"
Brad Saucier
Did you place the files in a folder named "MUSICDAT"?

drnorm1
I pushed Audio Recorder again and it recorded. After I stopped it, it asked for Take 001. How do I access the recording?

How do I access the recording? Buttons -10 and +10 are for scrolling through recorded wav files . The PX5S records from each Take 01 to 99. If you recorded an audio file and the Audio recorder led is lit. Pressing the start/stop next to the phrase button can be pressed to play the file. Use -10 and +10 to play other take files.
drnorm1
It was recorded on Take00. However, I have no idea how to play it.
Brad Saucier
Simply press the start/stop button once you see TAKE00 on the display.
drnorm1
Thanks for all your help. One more thing! How do I control the volume on the recording as well as the keyboard?
Brad Saucier
Press "system setting" button. Go to "sound generator" and then "audio volume". Adjust. Tip: Knob 2 can adjust values whenever you're in a menu like that.
drnorm1
Knob 2 does not lower the media file. The volume knob controls both media and the keyboard.. Is there a way to separate the controls? Why do I have to continue to reset my password after a few posts?

drnorm1
After about 3 or 4 replies. It forces me to request to update and recover my password.
Brad Saucier
After 3 unsuccessful login attempts, the system locks an account for a period of time for security reasons. Your password must exactly match the one you created.
