Juha-Pekka Lehtonen
Hi All! I have programmed the Cakewalk instrument file .ins for CT-S1000V (presumably also works for the CT-S500) With this configuration file You may select and search from all patches, drum kits and lyrics in Cakewalk Sonar. Let me know if the file is needed. BR, J-P Lehtonen
guanche
That's great news! I won't generally consider purchasing a new keyboard until I see that someone has demonstrated that it's worth putting in all the work necessary to get the instrument configuration file up and running with at least one of the mainstream DAWs! So yes, having the file available as a download would make these new keyboards real contenders!
Brad Saucier
Thanks for sharing! Feel free to upload the file to our community downloads section. I just want to add a tip. Depending on your preferred workflow, an alternative may be just as easy, without the need for a patch script. The CT-S500 and 1000V will send program change data each time a tone is selected on the keyboard. Start recording in your DAW sequencer, then select the tone you want. The tone selection will be recorded. Next time the track is played back, the proper tone will be recalled. This tip can be used with most other Casio models as well.
