Cercle
Hello. There are some new old stock units left at my dealer and I am wondering whether to buy it or not. The main job would be as a controller for the DAW. I had the PX-5S many years ago and I was very satisfied. Now I have a PX-S3100 that sounds great and it brings new technology but I am missing sliders, wheels and knobs. Do you think guys that the PX-5S is still a good buy in 2023? Brad Saucier
Regardless, the PX-5S is still a compelling instrument on its own. I still play mine almost every day, wish I could play it every day, but life gets in the way sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it being older new stock. They're packaged well and still under warranty.

Regards In terms of controls the PX-5 is more interesting than the current new Pianos from Casio. If you don't mind heavy keys and fewer octaves the MZ-X 500 would also be an excellent choice as it has even more controls than the PX-5S.
mike71
I think it depends on the price. I paid mine 670 euro in 2018 and now the price I see online is 970 euro. For the 2018 price it's a good buy I think, for 2023 price, I'm not so sure.
