Lesheque
Hi All, I have AKG P120 mic (picture 1) and I would like to use it with my PX-S6000 keyboard. Unfortunately it has a 3-pin XLR plug (picture 2), so I bought the adapter cable (picture 3) from XLR to jack. And... guess what? No sound. I tried another adapter. No change. The mic itself works well when connected to the Behringer adapter via XLR cable. Is there something wrong with my keyboard? Or am I doing something wrong? Brad Saucier
AKG P120 is a condenser microphone requiring phantom power from an external source in order to provide output. PX-S6000 does not provide phantom power for mics. For direct connection of a mic to the keyboard, you will need to use a different type of microphone, typically a dynamic mic.
