Movoge
I'm trying to get the simply piano learning app sound from my connected android phone to play trough the keyboard. Is the CTS 400 able to rout the audio from the phone? Apparently the simply piano app support couldn't find any issues. Midi option in app is activated. Midi standard for USB devices is activated in Android options. The app recognizes the input from the keyboard, but the sound of the app will not play through my headphones. My headphones are plugged in with a cable. The keyboard sound on the other hand plays perfectly through the headphones. Is there a possibility to get sound from the app via midi trough the keyboard and my headphones? Will this problem be fixed when connected to the Bluetooth adapter instead? Kind regards Michael
Brad Saucier
You will need to connect the headphones output of the phone to the audio input jack of the keyboard with a separate stereo mini jack cable.

Thank you for your prompt response, that works. But the sound quality is awful and I only receive sound on the left side of my headphones. May I ask for advice on that? I still wonder if there is an built in feature to receive sound trough a connected device naturally.
Brad Saucier
First check your audio cable is a stereo type. The metal barrel plugs will have two black rings if it's stereo, rather than a single black ring for mono. Next make sure the plugs are fully inserted into the jacks. If the phone has a case, sometimes that can prevent a full connection if it blocks the plug. USB on the keyboard is for MIDI only. This does not transmit audio. The Bluetooth WU-BT10 adapter can receive audio, however it is mostly there for listening to prerecorded music. When the keyboard is used as a MIDI controller, routing audio through Bluetooth can introduce noticable delay or latency. This is true of most any Bluetooth speaker.
