WK-7500 Drawbar organ Modulation parameter

Recommended Posts

  • 10 months later...

The Vintage setting is an adjustable parameter available to all Drawbar organ voices when you hit the EDIT button. You can choose between Vintage and Sin (Sine wave). The vintage setting emulates the crosstalk found on most Hammond tonewheel organs and sounds more authentic. Another parameter available in that menu is Mod or "Modulation," but selecting and changing it produces absolutely no change in sound even with the mod button down IIRC. Thus my question- what the heck is it there for?

The modulation (and rotary) button function is set by the DSP effect.

It can only control parameters from the DSP effects.

Within the DSP Edit menu there is Mod Button Assign, and Off/On value.

Check there to see what it's set to, or to assign it to a different DSP parameter.

If no DSP is active, the button won't be doing anything.
