Write phrase in DAW {logic}

I was wondering would it be possible to record a phrase in my DAW (logic) and transfer it or record it into the PX5s or can you only do it from the PX5s ?

 

Sure,the count in would need to be in sync

Hi Hugh., The PX-5S DataEditor (PC/MAC) has a MIDI to phrase converter. I think that is what you are looking for.

I've put my midi 2 bar riff into the phrase convert on the left and right and tried the arrows !

Any idea what I'm doing wrong

hmm.. Let's retrace steps to make sure we're on the same page.

You used the phrase converter and turned the MIDI into Phrase data.

Then you went to "transfer" and moved that phrase to the PX-5S....

If you did all this you should be able to call up the phrase in the PX-5S...

Please elaborate if you are still having problems.. ie exact steps you took or where you are stuck.

Not only was I not on the right page

I was on the wrong book.

Well you did get me going

Three things I did not do;

1 go to tranfer window

2 go to top and go to from stage setting to phrase

3 put it in right window into px 5s
