amaverick
I love my Xw -P1 alot and really dig the blue lights. But I hate the always blinking tap tempo light. Is there a way to turn off the blinking? If not maybe can be something for the next software update? I guess a piece of tape would work pretty good
Null
Black electrical tape would be a temporary fix. A dab of black paint would be permanent.

AlenK
I wonder what happens if you change the XW's MIDI sync mode to "Slav" (Slave)? (Page E-70.) (Of course, if you do that none of the sequencers will work anymore without inserting an external clock signal, in which case the light will blink again if this actually worked to turn it off!)
Gnomo Alegre
Oh! That is true! My XW-P1 is in slave mode and I not have noticed that...I've had the answer before me... I go into a trance when playing with the XW-P1... Thank you.P. D.Ah! In the mode slave cannot be used the step-sequencer of the XW. When not in slave mode? AlenK
I believe you can still use the step sequencer in slave mode. You just have to input a MIDI clock. No MIDI clock = no sequencing (of any kind, including phrase and arpeggiator).

I apologize for changing the topic thread.
amaverick
Come on guys...stay on topic here. Once again the blinking blue light has hypnotized you all.
AlenK
Yes, the Electribe can output MIIDI clock. You have three choices. You can use the Electribe and the XW both with internal clocks, in which case their sequencers and arpeggiators will not be synchronized. You can use the XW as the master, outputting its clock to the Electribe, which you would set up as the slave. Or you can set the Electribe as the master, outputting its clock to the XW. In both of the latter cases the machines' sequencers and arpeggiators will be tempo synchronized.
