retrodog
Hi. I'm new here, and a new Casio owner. Got the XW-P1 a couple of days ago, and have a problem in that the Tempo function seems to have a mind of it's own. The tempo display appears apparently spontaneously, and the rate rises until it gets to 255. Of course it renders the sequencer section unusable.I have updated the firmware to V1.11, but it is still occuring. Can anyone help please?R. Display Name
Hi Retrodog and welcome to the forums. Sorry for your problem. It sounds like maybe the contact under the tempo + key is being activated. Try firmly pressing down on the tempo + key several times and then press it lightly and try to "wiggle" it gently.. see if that does anything. Have tried the above - actually, pressing the Tempo + key does nothing - only the - key seems to work. Also when I press Preset selection buttons (ie well away from the Tempo area) it triggers the glitch. Seems more like a logic glitch, faulty item.R
Display Name
Sounds like you may need to send it back unless Mike from Casio has any ideas. Sorry, RD.

retrodog
Hi again - got the synth replaced (thanks Guitarguitar for excellent service). Now I'm grappling with the midi setup and data editor file transfers, but that's another story!
