Jokeyman123
Still having trouble inserting photos in posts using Windows 7. I cannot directly cut and paste and if I use the control plus V option which opens a small separate window in the post I can insert local photos from my hard drive into it, but when I actually post the message, i get a red letter alert saying photos with that extension are not allowed. I get this whether it is a .jpg, jpeg or .png. and the icons in the toolbar for copy and paste options are not activating when I create a new post, or respond to an existing one. What am I doing wrong? Seems to happen only in this forum at least on my Windows 7 computer.
Jokeyman123
Just to add to this. I am using the advanced options for posting which show the full editing toolbar. As I'm looking while posting, that is what I see above. All the toolbar icons are active except for the cut and paste icons. I can cut and paste any text or format options, just not photos. And as I type, the paste icons will suddenly become active seemingly at random, very weird. I always see "Because of your browser security settings, the editor is not able to access your clipboard data directly" when I try to directly paste from my local computer. Thanks to anyone who can set me straight on this.
Null
The editor here doesn't seem to recognize keyboard paste commands. My workaround is to position the mouse on the cursor and right click and paste from the gui. THAT seems to work. Gary
Null
BTW, If I were you I'd go into your control panel and check your security settings for your browser. Also what browser are you using? Have you tried Firefox or Chrome or are you only using Internet Exploder? Gary
Jokeyman123
Using Pale Moon which is Firefox with a smaller footprint. I do have several plugins that might be causing this . I'll check that out. Thanks for the info.
