Fletcher
please help.In Casio datea manager I go into the "audio" tab and there in the right panel, in the drop-down menus do not have any SD card. Only logical drives of my operating system. Why Casio data manager not show me the sd card that is installed in a synthesizer in this list ? - T -
Fletcher The Data Manager software can not "see" or read from or write to SD Cards that are mounted in the keyboard. It was not designed to do that. That is because it can not send or receive audio data via the USB cable. It can only "see" and read from and write to SD Cards that are plugged directly into an SD Card slot in the PC. This is normal. It is not a problem with your software or your PC or your keyboard or your SD Card.

Fletcher
So, tell me please. How many music files I can record to card for playing in the 7200 ?It's limited only by size of card ?
Julian
size of card accepted is in the user manual. Also I don't think you can play sounds/rythms direct off the card, u have to load into keyboard first, so make sure you save the user file that the new load will replace. Fletcher
Thanks. And one more question. Can I play SMF on board and make wave record on it in same time ?I need wav file from SMF and I like how board make sound while playing it
- T -
The CTK-7200/WK-7600 can record and store up to 20 audio files (each up to 13 minutes long) on an SD Card, providing the card is large enough. A 2Gb card can store up to 14 audio files and cards 4 Gb through 32 Gb can store a max of 20 audio files. The CTK-7200/WK-7600 will not allow the MIDI File Player mode and the Audio Record mode to both be active at the same time. This is because the MIDI File Player plays (READS) directly from the card and the Audio File Recorder records (WRITES) directly to the card. The operating system can not READ from and WRITE to the same device at the same time, but a MIDI file playing the keyboard's internal sounds or an audio recording of a MIDI file playing the keyboard's internal sounds should sound pretty much the same, and it is possible to play the keyboard while MIDI file backing tracks are playing. As stated above, the SD Card is limited to 20 audio files at the most, and these must be in Casio audio file format (the Audio File Player will not play standard WAV files), while the number of MIDI FIles on the card can be up to 999. If converting MIDI Files to Audio Files is absolutely necessary, a work around would be to port the MIDI file to a PC and play it back into the keyboard with a PC DAW as the keyboard's Audio File Recorder records it. This would require making sure the DAW software does not filter out any Sysex or Continuous Controller messages, but this may still be a problem, because the keyboard's USB MIDI connection is "Class Compliant". The "Class Compliant" protocol is fairly basic and does not fully support Sysex communications, so something could still get lost in this process. I need wav file from SMF and I like how board make sound while playing it Although the topic and question are quite old, there is a solution to this problem and it may be useful to someone else. The playback of a midi file can be recorded in a WAV recorder. To do this, run the midi file from a tablet or smartphone, for example, through the Synthesia program, and the tablet itself must be connected to the synthesizer via USB using an OTG adapter cable. In this version, the WAV recorder will record everything normally, if you wish, you can even play along to the midi file and this will also be recorded. etp7
Can you play music files from a SD? I have formatted the card on the 7600, dropped the WAV files into 6.1 audio left box, moved to play only, and they do not show on the card. I see it flash on the card as it is translating but it does not show permanently in the SD folder or on the 7600. On the 7600 it shows no files on the card in CARD mode. Yes, it can play WAV files from SD memory card. You had to transfer files from the left window of the manager's date to the right window. The left window is also a folder on the computer, and the right window is a folder on the memory card.
