Nova
Hello..I want to midi a module to the px5...I dont want to control any tones, change any sounds ordo any type of complicated performance setup..I simply want to midi the box and play it thru the 5..I will control each entity seperate. In other words, I dont want tohit a button on the 5 and change the tone of the module. I want to keep piano sound on the module and CHANGE tones on the 5while Im playing switching between whatever tone I want to use. I simply want to play the sounds of the module w/out the 5 controlling in in any way.Im going to try this today, will go into stage settings midi, global and look around. Also, if I can figure this, will it need reset at every power on? Thx, I appt your kindness.
Mike Martin
Connect a MIDI Cable and play. By default all the Stage Settings transmit out the MIDI out.
Nova
Ok, as I mentioned..I dont want to change the tones on the module with any button press on the px5. I want to control each axe independently.Im not sure what u mean by "By default all the Stage Settings transmit out the MIDI out." I dont want the 5 to change anything on the modulew/the press of any button. Example, AP sound on the module whole gig, while changing sounds on the 5 to basically embelish the module piano tone of the module.Thx for your reply. Apptd. Display Name
I don't know if you can do this globally but you can turn off program change by Stage Setting. See the Privia Pro blog:http://priviapro.wordpress.com/2013/05/21/px-5s-sending-program-changes-to-external-gear/ It may be easier to turn off the program change receive on your module.
