smithh
This is a stunning Pad. Question, when you load a Stage setting file like this, it appears to also load a Tone?? in this case Hex User 159. Does this mean that if there was something in 159 before hand it would be overwritten? And if so, could that effect other Stage settings? Newbie questions, sorry. Brad Saucier
In short, no. It doesn't overwrite anything. Stage Settings have their own memory for the tones used in the 4 zones. A custom tone, such as the one you noticed, only exists in that stage setting. As soon as you switch to another stage setting, that tone goes away. If you want to use a tone out of one of these stage setting in another stage setting, you will have to press the write button and save the tone to the user bank. Then you can pull up that tone on another stage setting.
smithh
Thanks for the reply. Could you also explain in that case why the stage setting refers to tone 159?
Brad Saucier
It's really easy. When your recall a stage setting, the edited version of tone 159 is recalled from the stage setting's memory. You will note that if you change to tone 158 then go back to 159, the stage setting version of 159 gets replaced with the tone bank version of 159. To recall the stage setting version, you will have to recall the stage setting again.
powertrader
Is this for xw-p1? I downloaded several different files from the support forum and cannot see them when I try to open them in data editor. New at this and don't understand the different file formats and why I can't seem to see them to open. Also, I downloaded a couple of different performance files and when I try to open in data editor I get a format error. Please help PowerTrader
