manager31
I recently purchased a wk-7600. i was able to create a split program and save it as a registration. I want to name this registration so I can easily find it on stage, but I can't find any reference in the manual on how to do this. Is it possible to name a registration? Thank you.
- T -
No ! The Casio CTK/WK models do not provide for the naming of registrations. In my entire career of working with keyboards since the late 1980's, I have had only one that allowed naming registrations. That is why all of my lead sheets and fake books have little registration notes in the upper right corners. Many (most ?) have address stickers posted over the original notes to accomodate changes through the years. Erasures tend to make holes in the pages after a while. Good luck, and enjoy that WK-7600 ! Brad Saucier
I wasn't sure about WK models. I checked the manuals for this question but saw no evidence. I do know the Casio MZ-2000 has registration "bank" naming (not each registration) and "one touch preset" programming for user pattern sequences, but that model was very high end Casio. Casio PX-5s and XW synths have full "registration" naming, but on these models they are called "stage settings" and "performances". I suspect future Casio workstations might implement this. Let's hope.
- T -
Brad That's how it is with the Yamaha arrangers, as well. They allow naming the reg banks, but not the individual registrations.
Silvano Silva
tnicosonYAMAHA PSR 3000 as arrangers already gave to individual names in timbres 4 left and 4 right. As for the bank records that was below that I remember gave to by name in each bank.WK in the search for records with sounds created by the user only works when decorating banks. It is difficult to pinpoint what is created. On stage I'm tired of missing the timbre that had saved recently. This same system is repeated in the KORG PA50 / ROLAND E50 / PSR advanced lines / KETRON arrangers.I have worked with everyone. If the Casio has the top arrangerNothing more just follow the tendency of competition to records and banks. The PX-560 is proof that Casio is trying to facilitate the access of your system.I hope alive for Casio adopt it in the new arrangers and maybe have money can buy. http://www.casiomusicgear.com/products/menu_privia/PX-
