rhythms MZ-X500 Rhythms (set 1)

Hi,
here are some MZ-X500 rhythms converted from various Yamaha arrangers styles.
I own an MZ-X500 and the conversion has been entirely made using the internal instrument's tools without using a PC.
I've revoiced wrong instruments, adjusted volumes, re-mapped wrong notes (especially in some drum tracks), and shifted many bass tracks that where too low.
I've also adjusted the effects values and the panning to my own personal taste,
I hope you will like them
In this package you will find some 6/8 rhythms, 8 Beat rhythms and 1 16/8 Ballad for a total of 18 rhythms.

Old Upright (MZ-X500, hex layer)

A very different piano sound from the presets. Using hex layer synth mode, split shifting the factory piano samples dramatically alters the timbre. The result is a sound reminiscent of the old upright piano I grew up playing. This was a tone I originally programmed for the PX-5S, now ported to the MZ-X500.

Ukulele Strumming (MZ-X500)

UKULE2.ZLT is a hex layer tone.
UKULELST.ZAR is an arpeggio pattern.
Load these two files into your MZ-X500. Select the new Ukulele tone as Upper 1 tone. Enable the arpeggiator and select the new Ukulele arpeggio pattern. The hex layer tone will have the muted strum sound in the lower octave, while the rest of the keyboard will be for open strumming. To play the pattern, use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand while holding chords with your right hand for the arpeggiator to use. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously. To play the strum manually as in the second part of my demo, disable the arpeggiator and practice playing chords in a sweeping motion as if you are strumming with a flat pick on guitar strings.

A rich HexLayer tone I'm having fun with it, it have splits and velocity triggered voices, play it softly for smooth sounds (right hand sounds will starts to detune if holded), or play it harder to trigger more powerful sounds.

rhythm FF Rhythms 01

here are 3 rhythms I converted for the MZ-X500, I've adjusted them stripping out bad notes, I've also revoiced the tracks to use the MZ-X tones instead of the GM set.
Proper names are:
BALLAD01 -> Ballad 01
BALLAD02 -> Ballad 02

Concert Grand 2 and Finger Bass 5 (MZX series studio tones)

These are two variations of factory tones designed to fit more easily into a mix. The volume differences between quiet and loud are not as wide, allowing easier blending when a more consistent volume level is desired.
Concert Grand 2 brings a new EQ setting to the piano, plus a reduced dynamic range
Finger Bass 5 brings reduced dynamic range and faster decay time
