  1. Interesting ideas. I may be adding the paper rolls somewhere too. Similar to Chas, I was once using a hanging organizer inside a closet door, the type with about 20 clear plastic pockets on it to hold shoes. Now I keep my cables in a bunch of zipper seal type bags in a drawer. Realizing how expensive and hard to replace some cables can be, I figured I better waterproof them in event of a flood (which unfortunately can happen where I live). The added bonus with clear zipper bags is they don't get tangled and it is easy to see what's in them. I use the bags for all sorts of other things too.
  2. Stage settings carry along with them any edited tones, effects, and even user arpeggio patterns, but phrases are the one thing that needs to be separately moved over.
  3. Yes, turn off local control. It's the lowest F# key.
  4. You'll need to separately transfer phrases from one PX-5S to the other, preferably in the same user phrase number location.
  5. There is a factory reset procedure. Hold both tempo buttons while turning on the piano. It sounds like you have already tested it out of the box, so a reset may not help. You can possibly gain a higher average volume level from the internal speakers with careful tuning of the master EQ and compressor.
  6. Unfortunately I could not find any sources for the manual.
  7. You should be able to swipe down from the top of the screen and see a notification that you can tap on to access all of the Android USB options.
  8. Perhaps your phone isn't in MIDI USB mode, although the lyric app should have detected that was the case and wouldn't be showing the keyboard is connected. Hmm
  9. I haven't done it, but I know if they were selling the part, it's possible to replace it.
  10. Found it in the downloads section here as part of a pack.
  11. Unfortunately it will need repairs. How long have you had the piano?
  12. Which pedal are you using? Expression type? You should be able to simply copy the modulation wheel settings to the pedal on the controller setup page.
  13. Unfortunately the LCD screen seems to be sold out and no longer available new. This page is a seller of Casio parts and it shows discontinued, but you can use it as a cross reference for other models using the same LCD. You may be able to find another used Casio for parts.
  14. Have you found the files you want to download? They're in the downloads section on this site.
  15. Auto power off can be turned off in system settings.
  16. Download the files and copy them to a USB flash drive, drop them in a folder named "MUSICDAT". Transfer the flash drive to your CTX USB port. Press function, go to media, load, and choose the type of data you want to load. You'll either be loading tones or registration banks, or both. Sometimes registrations and tones are designed to work together.
  17. Acoustic pianos are very loud. I don't think the internal speakers can match that level, however I wouldn't say the PX-560 sounds too low normally. Is this a brand new unit unboxed? I ask because someone may have adjusted master effects levels or mixer levels, which could reduce output volume.
  18. Unfortunately that means the MIDI file has only 1 track. Two tracks are needed to specify left and right hands.
  19. Do you have a different phone you can try the app with? Have you tried creating another new lyric from scratch and transfer it?
  20. Hi Steve. Welcome to the forums. How far have you successfully gone? Do you have your MIDI files stored as user songs? Did you go to song mode and select the user song? Once you're there, the channel button will allow you to select left and right hand tracks that may be present in the MIDI file. Once that's done the lesson button should work. If a MIDI files has left and right hand parts on a single track, unfortunately that file wouldn't work well for this.
  21. Welcome to the forums! Congrats on your new 1000V. So, nothing happens when you press transfer? Everything sounds correct up to that point. After pressing transfer, you should see the next option which allows you to save to the phone or to the keyboard.
  22. What was your purchase date on the receipt?
  23. Yes they do share most tones and rhythms. The main difference is the addition of the 88 key hammer action. Are you looking for new sounds mostly? or rhythms?
