  1. Brad, thanks for your reply. I was hoping that I could get some variety on both counts when I purchase my new 88 key board, I guess. I held back from buying CTS500 for the same reason when I was considering a second 61 key keyboard. I guess, I may still purchase the CDP s360, because atleast it’s a different playing experience with the hammer action keybed. I sold off my Yamaha P515, because despite a lovely sound, the key action was very stiff on that one and I just didn’t enjoy the paying experience because of the hard key action
  2. Does Casio CDP 360 have similar or same tones and styles as CTX 5000? I own. CTX 5000 and was considering buying the CDP s360 digital piano, but may go for another model if such is the case with overlap of tone and rhythm bank
  3. Hoping to buy CDP s360 piano. Any feed back from users who have owned this piano for some time now, would be appreciated, especially regarding key bee action, playing experience in general.

Apologies. I’ve done now. I’ll remove it from here

  4. Thanks for this valuable advice. I already own other keyboards like a WK7600, Korg Prolouge, Yamaha P515, Yamaha Dx reface. I quite like every Casio I have owned or test driven over the years, ans so wished to purchase the next Casio, but it seems that I may wait for a upgrade on WK series or something like an MZ series upgrade as I need an arranger home keyboard and the Casio seems to be the obvious make to go for albeit, it has to be different enough from my beloved CTX 5000 that does make an excellent arranger board, but I do miss the live knobs for effects and other functions like sound modulation and volume balance control etc
  5. I already own a CTX 5000. I know that CTS 500 doesn’t have style editing facility. Other than that, how similar or different are other features, especially the tones and preset Beats and Styles? in short, if I keep my CTX, and buy a CTS also, will it expand the range of sounds like electric pianos, organs, synth, other sounds or are they pretty much similar ? Also the rhythms and styles , are there different types or similar to each other? many recommendations will be appreciated
  6. I am a WK series fan. In my opinion the best arranger keyboard, 76 keys, great drawbar organ, the best internal speakers I’ve ever found on a home keyboard and the list goes on. I would love to see an updated WK model. We live in hope
  7. My favourite ever keyboard is Casio WK 7600. The 76 keys, drawbar organs, high quality internal speakers and the functionality in general, all in one board. I own. Yamaha P515, Korg Prolouge, Dx reface and Casio CTX 5000, but nothing compares to the old WK -and I keep returning to play it and enjoy the most. I bought and sold Yamaha PSR s900, Roland Fa08 and couple of others since owning the WK, but cannot imagine parting from this lovely instrument. I dread, if it breaks down one day! Is there any way to know, if there will be an updated WK series model any time soon ?
  8. I would so love to see that. I cannot understand why Casio are not upgrading what I consider to be my favourite keyboard out of the 5 other high quality keyboards I own, including Korg Prolouge, Yamaha P515, Casio CX 500, reface Dx and an SA 46. I absolutely love the drawbars organ on the Wk 7600 and the 76 keys are just the perfect number for me. it’s a truly amazing workstation with excellent inbuilt speakers.
  9. Any news on an upgrade model for WK 7600. I’ve owned one for last 6-7 years and love the board especially the organ drawbars and speaker quality. I would love to see an upgrade and would instantly buy it as long as it had min of 73 keys and the drawbars
  10. Well here's a short story. On line cheapest price for WK7600 was £349. Fair deal music store in Birmingham ( hope it's ok to mention the name ) was higher than this on their website, but I went along anyways as I thought an extra few quid in price is worth it when you can actually play the instrument before buying it. So I played it in the store and tried a few others but loved the WK7600. Guess what the price was actually in the store..... £339. Had I bought it on line, I would have had to wait, not test drive it and had to pay a higher price. All in all, a great purchase and both myself and my family loved the sound. Moral of the story: it's worth popping into an actual music shop when considering a purchase. Regards
  11. Hey thanks guys for your valuable advice. Just a final question about the difference between an "electric piano" (PX850 /860) and "stage pianos". I have been trying to read various threads here butcould'nt make out clearly. I gather that a stage piano comes without speakers, where as a home electric one does. Both have hammer action keys. Irony is that I would like speakers to be built in, piano hammer action 88 keys but also the draw bar and organ sounds and recording capabilities so that I could play my harmonica along some sequenced tracks. If it has some cool funky beats and synth sounds then that will be the only way that my teen age kids will play the same instrument, i.e, their Dub step like stuff. It is not at all for gigging just so that we could all play as a family. I know the reply would be buy two different instruments but just thought I would try my luck. Does Casio make anything that touces all these qualities or close? I am leaning towards a WK 7600 and sacrifice my desire for weighted keys. Only if they made one with these it could be the perfect thing for me. Guess I will buy a piano a bit later then. Any suggestions?
  12. Hi, I'm new to the forum and have found it extremely entertaining. My congrats to admin and all members to maintain such an informative and interesting forum. I live in UK. My first instrument was a Casio VL tone bought around 1982, that made me interested in playing music. That little thing used to have a way to syntesize sound s as well (apart from being a calculator and a monophonic mini / nano keyboard). I have mainly been playing guitar as a hobby for past many years but also play recorder, harmonica etc plus an old yamaha PSR something basic keyboard bought ten years ago for my daughter. I am now more and more interested in the keys and practicing on the basic keyboard has increased my confidence to a level where I would like to invest in a high quality instrument, but given my old love for brand it has to be none other than a Casio. Given this background and some internet research I have narrowed my search on either WK7600 (I do want it to come with speakers) or a Privia model if there is one that can give me most of the functionality of a work station (syntesizer/ hybrid with organ and lots of presets) but has piano style hammer action keys (I have been enjoying playing piano style a lot on my yamaha with non touch sensitive keys). Price is obviously better for WK7600 and the only thing that worries me is the non-hammer action keys and I wonder if there will be another better version with more features soon. My questions: Is there another model expected soon? Could I get all the features of a workstation / homekeyboard on a casio electric piano?I would highly appreciate any responses and would update in a few weeks about my potential purchase and my impressions of the instrument.
