AlenK
Can't find one for the PX-560 on Casio's web site (not one for the PX-360 either). ETA?
Brad Saucier
These models midi implementation is covered in a chart in the regular users manuals.
AlenK
That chart does not cover nearly as much information as, say, the XW-P1/XW-G1 MIDI Implementation document. Just compare the two. The XW-P1 and XW-G1 manuals also contain such a chart. In fact, I don't know of any keyboard with MIDI that does not include such a chart in its user manual. My question stands. Brad Saucier
I wouldn't expect any more than the existing charts. Casio does not publish a full midi manual for every model that has MIDI.
AlenK
The user manual refers to support information for MIDI. Page EN-87. So there is reason to believe that such a document will be produced in this case.

Stevetuc
However, they do publish a detailed midi implementation for the 760, 860, 160 etc and similar for older models such as 350 and 150 so I would suggest it's a matter of time before the 360 and 560 get addedhttp://support.casio.com/en/manual/008/PX760_860_1500_160_AP260_460_MIDI_E_EN.pdfThey do need to add those models, as it's been found that continuous half pedal is output over midi on the 360 and 560 whereas in the midi implementation for the 350 for example, only 3 levels of half pedal are supported.http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/topic/9192-px350360-with-sp33-half-damper-function/#entry28545

XW-Addict
Very old 😲. And dated. Midi manual have gotten better much. Its provide enough information but the challenge as usual is putting it to use. Such as with NRPN/RPN hard to wrap you're head around.
Casiokid
I'd welcome someone to simply explain these Midi manuals -so that we can all understand them practically. Whoever writes Midi manuals also assume everybody knows all the abbreviations ?
XW-Addict
Well I propose using this thread to help us out. As it is going already.

JohnG7
Well, if you like, I can try to explain exactly how MIDI works in (I hope) plain language for you. And then go through and decode, page by page, the "PX-360M / PX-560M MIDI implementation" addendum to the main PX-560M User's Guide. The real question is, how basic do you want me to start from? Before we start may I suggest you make a visit here: https://www.midi.org/specifications and download the tables provided there. They're copyright of the MMA so I can't reproduce them. Background: Moderator of several forums including the midi.org/forum. Admin of my own forum midi-tutor.proboards.com. If you like, in this case, you can say "directed from the Casio forum". No info = rejection. 😞
