  1. MA Rock Grand

A version of a bright grand piano suited for rock etc. Adjusted insert EQs, no resonances, less dynamics (velo sensitivity). Inspiring example was the Kurzweil Studio Grand Patch. Have not played it live yet but it cuts well through the mix in rehearsals.

  2. CncrtGrd SRE.ZPF

Concert Grand Piano Shorter Release EQ'ed
This is a modification of the factory preset Stage Setting "0-0 Concert Grand". It has a shorter release time allowing for cleaner note separation during staccato play. I attempted to recreate the same note separation that I noticed in recordings of "Acoustic Piano's". This setting feels really choppy if your used to the original preset but after some time with it you will feel like the original release time was too long.
I've also tweaked the EQ. The low frequency's have been reduced and the high's increased for a brighter sound. Again, I was attempting to get the sound of a real acoustic recording.

  3. PRACT_GS

    GIANT STEPS practice tool.
I needed to practice Giant Steps in all 12 keys, for no good reason , so I created a stage setting that will play the changes with drums in every key with a piano sound to play over them.
Here are the steps you have to take to get this Stage Setting working on your PX-5S
Download the 3 phrase files (GIANT_DR.ZPH, GIANT_BA.ZPH, GIANT_EP.ZPH) and the stage setting (PRACT_GS.ZPF)
Load the Phrase files into the PX-5S in this order and to these Phrase number slots:
    GIANT_DR - 500
    GIANT_BA - 501
    GIANT_EP - 502
Load the Stage Setting, PRACT_GS into whatever slot you have available in your Stage Settings on the PX-5S
Play any key between B0-Bb0 (lowest octave of keyboard) to start the song...at the end of 8 measures you have to retrigger to play it again. Most people play the song starting on B major so the low B starts the sequence in the original key.
The stage setting is saved at a fast tempo, if you're new to this song, you should slow the tempo down A LOT using either the tap tempo button or just changing the tempo manually.
If you try this out, please let me know it worked for you.
I hadn't played Giant Steps in years, it was driving me a little crazy getting back up to speed with it, this stage setting has helped me.
