  1. I have a CTX 5000 I bought used. The keys are noisy which may be why the original owner ditched it. I enjoy it very much and play with headphones so the noise does not bother me. I do understand how the noise bothers some owners but honestly have you ever heard how noisy a real acoustic piano is? The sound is deadened by the reverberation of the strings but noisy actions abound on real pianos too.
  2. Assuming your talking about a drum track on your CTX keyboard use the line out jacks from the CTX to line in on computer. You can record direct to computer through your DAW. Take the audio out from the computer to audio in on CTX to play audio from the computer.
  3. What you should keep in mind also is that digital pianos and keyboards are made in China with cheap materials--ie plastic. With plastic comes cheapness, noise, and light weight. All major brands of keyboards have complaints about the keybeds. Noise and short pivot length which makes playing the keys more difficult towards the back of the key are among them. Just hit the forums of other brands and you will see the complaints. The more features they cram in the more cost cutting decisions come into play to keep manufacturing costs down and ultimately the selling price of the board.
  4. You need to turn the local control setting off. Press the function button and use the + - buttons to advance to midi menu and turn local to off. Page 59 in the manual refers to the setting. The first setting you will see when you press function is Touch. Press + until you get to Midi. Press enter then advance to local and use + or - to turn the setting off this will disable the built in sounds of the piano. Connect a stereo mini cable to the headphone out on the ipad and the other end to audio in jack and to use the piano speakers or headphones to hear the Korg module sounds.
  5. Yes the whole keybed has to come out to be able to reseat the popped up key. There isn't enough room to move the key forward to try and fix it.
  6. Try formatting the drive on the keyboard and see if that works.
  7. Replacing the hammer would have also fixed it assuming the part is available. They don't cost much to replace.
  8. I have an M Audio SP2 pedal that I have had about 10 years and it has worked in every Casio I have owned--PX 575, PX 5, CTK 7000 and the CTX 5000 I currently own.
  9. I would say it is a step up from the WK 3000. If you are looking at a used one take a look at the WK7500.
  10. Have you thought about buying a used PX5 S. You probably see some as GC has reopened their stores. Search used casio.
  11. You should be able to play instrument sounds in Logic with your WK-7600 by connecting to a computer with a USB cable.
  12. AIX is a huge improvement over AHL. The CDP-S350 is only 64 note poly however. So it is the same chip as CTX 3000/5000.
  13. AHL is also used in the new Casiotone boards. It is a decent chip. I really used to like the old ZPI chip used in the WK 3000 series boards and some older Privias--PX110, 300 310, 575.
  14. Your keyboard is officially supported up to Windows 8.1 with no software driver needed. Windows 10 is very similar to 8.1. Seems like it should work and recognize your keyboard.
  15. This discussion illustrates why no piano should be bought without trying in person. You tube videos are just not reliable when used for this purpose. Thats why you need to know the return policy of the seller if you are dissatisfied after the sale.
  16. I used to own a PX575 and thought that was a killer board. The PX560 is light years ahead of it. Surprised it does not have 4 variations like the MZX and CTX boards but it still is amazing. Hope to buy a used one someday.
  17. I think they will most likely replace the keybed to resolve your issue.
  18. To be sure there are a lot of features on this board. The user interface takes getting used to. I never did get the hang of the pattern sequencer to create rhythms from scratch but I think this is one of the most powerful features this board has. I currently have a CTX 5000 and am glad I upgraded. I do miss the drawbars however because they made the mixer easier and more flexible to use.
  19. Very cool video. Casio struts its stuff through the milestone of decades past and present.
  20. Your Mac does not seem to recognize your audio interface. What audio interface are you using to connect the PX300 to your Mac? Have you loaded the software driver for the audio interface on your Mac. If so is it compatible with the version of Mac OSX you are using? Is local control turned off on the PX300?
  21. Don't think anything exists in a keyboard minus synth sounds because these keyboards are in fact synthesizers in that they can generate other sounds.
  22. You will void your warranty if you modify your keybed in any way. I would send it in. Looks like they would replace the keybed.
  23. There is a plastic keeper on the end of the hammer that attaches to the key. It may have broken or simply detached from the key. You will have to open it up to see. If the keeper is broken you will need to replace the hammer.
