  1. One more tutorial video to add, plus the PDF video index by @gjasko. Casio PX-5S PX-560 MZ-X500 Hex Layer Index.pdf
  2. MZ-X500 adds an event editor to rhythm pattern sequencer. Step input is possible with event editing. Live looping is also not possible MZ-X500.
  3. 1. No. The CT-X series cannot record audio. 2. Yes. The MIDI recorder can export up to 16 tracks as a standard MIDI file. 3. The rhythm pattern sequencer does NOT allow step input. The MIDI recorder does. 4. Live looping is not possible. The rhythm pattern sequencer can be used as a loop recorder, although not live. 5. No. Pedal 2 can be a switch type pedal or expression pedal. Configured as expression, it performs CC11 expression only. Configured as a switch type pedal, it can perform sustain, sostenuto, soft, rhythm/song start/stop, or registration advance. 6 and 7. I've never experienced the reported glitches so I don't know. 8. Yes. https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=2306 Auto harmonize cannot be applied to already recorded tracks. An alternate high end Casio model to the CT-X3000 is the MZ-X500.
  4. It's working for me. https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=2229
  5. Glad you're back up and running. Please watch for protruding thumbs from now on. 👍
  6. Except for some Casio rhythm files, files from any other models are not compatible with the CT-X9000IN and cannot be converted.
  7. Unfortunately that is the sound glitch I have heard before, where the service center replaced the main board. Turning off touch response may stop the glitch. I would try that first. PX-850 was released in 2012 and sold for a few years. They were covered by a 3 year warranty. Is there an odd chance yours is still within warranty? Otherwise, you might want to contact a local repair shop for assistance.
  8. I've seen people inadvertently hit buttons on the control panels of many other keyboards while playing, especially those with larger hands. Since the PX-S3000 is so slim and compact, and has no physical buttons that one can feel, it's definitely possible to hit the touch panel while playing. The PX-S3000 has a panel lock feature to prevent such occurrences. I suggest engaging that and see how it goes. I'd be willing to bet it won't happen again.
  9. Can you post a video clip of it? Your description sounds like an issue I have seen in which the main board will need to be replaced in order to solve it. Try turning off touch response and let us know if that prevents the noise.
  10. I tagged you on the post you're looking for on Facebook. Are you using your own samples, or presets? I don't think you can change how presets respond.
  11. The change is due to the missing DSP effect. The PX-360 has the ability to generate 1 tone with DSP effects. When a second tone is selected by split or layer, DSP is unavailable.
  12. Yes, try re-recording the system track from scratch.
  13. Release (time?)... If that's what you are referring to, that would be in tone editing mode. Edits made to a tone has to be saved as a user tone, not as a performance.
  14. Welcome to the forums Ray! Your MIDI sync mode is set to slave. Change it to master or off and restart the keyboard.
  15. To disable the internal speakers, insert a plug into the headphone jack. The F7 key (speaker out) is for enabling the internal speakers after a plug has been inserted in the headphone jack. If your speakers are still sounding after plugging into the headphone jack, make sure F7 speaker out is turned off. C6 is local control. That will disable all internal sounds. Make sure local control is ON to hear sounds generated by the Casio.
  16. Yes, they can be adjusted live while playing.
  17. I know it may seem obvious, but are the batteries new? The keyboard will switch automatically to battery power when main power is not preset, even if the AC adapter is plugged in.
  18. I think if you have tried a number of drives and none of them have successfully mounted, perhaps the USB port on the keyboard is faulty. This would be the first time I've seen a Casio with a USB port come out of the box faulty. It's certainly a possibility however.
  19. As yes, the newer Casio models added exFAT support. That is correct. Are they well known name brand drives? I've seen certain drives have issues working with a keyboard before, so it's not unusual.
  20. FAT32 is the proper format. Have you confirmed the drives are working properly on other devices?
  21. Any standard USB flash drive that comes pre-formatted to the FAT32 file system will work, or you can format it yourself. As far as MIDI software, there is so much out there, I can't begin to know which is best. I personally like Cakewalk, which is now free by Bandlab.
  22. Unfortunately the keyboard menus are always in English.
  23. The CT-X3000 can play any MIDI files that are stored in a folder named MUSICDAT on a USB flash drive. MIDI files can't be loaded into keyboard memory for any other use. The user community has created a workaround method that can create rhythms from MIDI files using some software tools. See this topic. The CT-X3000 user manual in German is here.... https://support.casio.com/de/manual/manualfile.php?cid=008007005
