Sustain Pedal 1 controls swell for the choir in the high end.
The Arpeggio is in the low end.

The strings behind the piano will play at a higher volume as long as the keys are held down and then will drop to a lower level once the keys are released and will continue to sustain at a lower level as long as the sustain the sustain pedal is held.

A huge stack of saw waves with big reverb and delay.

Electric Piano layered with Acoustic Piano layered with warm synth strings and some nice effects to round it out.

This is the raw square wave I used to make "Halo".

This adds another variation to the existing square waves in the G1.

This is an 8 bit triangle wave used in NES systems. It would be great for recreating some video game music or anything else for that matter. Enjoy!

Sliders 1,2,3 and 4 control Zone Levels.

This is a Stage Setting that includes a hex layer on zone 1. The Hex tone has 3 split layers of Morse code beep tones that are panned Left, Right and center. Each layer's volume is assigned to sliders 1,2 and 3. Use the sliders for bringing the different codes in and out.
I programmed a phrase that will play 3 different Morse code sequences all at the same time yet are really separate because of how it is arranged in relation to the Morse Beep Hex Layer. The different codes in the phrase sequence are mapped to the 3 Split zones of the hex layer.
Code 1) Left Channel Tone
Code 2) Center Ch. Tone
Code 3) Right Ch.

The phrase is not assigned as an arpeggio in this Stage Setting. Use the phrase player. The Morse phrase is on this download page.

This is my synthesized cowbell placed along side of Synth Set 2. My cowbell is on Ab3 and the sampled cowbell I moved to Bb3 for a good side by side comparison. My synth cowbell is not on the same zone as Synth Set 2 so if you want to use it in a drum beat it will take some clever programming to do it.

This is a genuine synthesized cowbell sound using the PX5 synth.

Polysynth type sound in the low
DX type chime thingies in the upper.

The harp has Amp Sim and Distortion DSP applied to emulate the Green Bullet mic and guitar amp distortion.
I assigned a wah effect to both the damper pedal and slider one. Take your pick of which one you feel like using.

Simple. Beautiful. Slow. Stereo Strings.

A powerful improvement to the GM Pizzicato tone. It has large Reverb and an added String staccato layer.
The String Zone can be removed by adjusting expression on slider 2.
The Pizzicato Zone also can be adjusted on slider 1.

I did it as a test of both my and the PX-5s drum set editing abilities. All drum sounds used in this beat are edited in some way to approximate the sound of the original beat.

A simple stereo applause hex tone. I tried to eliminate sample looping artifacts.

If you use this stage setting, please let me know if you like it and how you used it.  I learn music by ear.  This stage setting started as I was learning how to play the song.  I carefully listened to left and right channels of the original recording, trying to hear how it was played.  Once I learned it well enough to play it myself,  I recorded it into the sequencer on the MZ-2000, then converted that recording into phrases for the PX-5S.  The rest of the work involved editing PX-5S tones until they sounded like the sounds heard in the original record.

This is a stage setting and sounds for playing the song Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics.
Sweet Dreams is the Stage Setting. Sweet Arp is the phrase that plays the synth sounds. Place this phrase in slot 120 Sweet Beat is the phrase for the drum pattern. Place this phrase in slot 121. Once loaded, make sure the Arpeggiator lamp is lit, then hit any key in the low end to start the pattern playing. The Synth Lead sound is in the upper range for playing the solo.

Recommended Settings for these Drum Phrases
8 Beat Dance - Use Synth Set 2 Tempo 130
Hip Hop Rock - Use Hip Hop Set Tempo 110

A stereo string sound good for staccato play. It has an Amp envelope applied as well.  

This is a 6 layer tone.
Tenor Sax, Mute Trumpet, Brass, Tuba, Trumpet, Trombone
The layers are panned for stereo and it has a custom Amp envelope applied.

Here are two phrases made for drum patterns.
Recommended settings.
Jazz Swing - Tempo:145 Use Brush Set
5/4 Swing - Tempo:165 Use Brush Set

A Rock Guitar that pitch bend into a note when the key are struck with a higher velocity. Softer touch will not trigger a bend.
